This restaurant was recommended to us by the reception at our hotel as a good place to go for trying traditional Milanese dishes. We were not disappointed!
Located in the Brera district, it was only a 10 minute walk from center of town and not difficult to find. Good start!
The menu was very comprehensive, and the atmosphere very pleasant, the interior is tastefully decorated with old posters from the Scala alla Teatro and musical scores from the operas are played as background music.
Since we were there to try typical Milanese cuisine, my husband had ossobucco, veal stew with saffron rice, and I tried the Milanese cutlet. Both were excellent, and very generous portions! My husband generally determines the value of an Italian restaurant based on the selection and taste of salami appetizer plate... He was impressed with Ristorante Nabucco! The tiramisu for dessert was nice but I prefer a moist sponge inside so I found it a bit dry.
Wine selection was fantastic and recommendation from our very friendly waiter was spot on!
We were very inclined to go back for lunch the next day too!
