Description: La Trebia Restaurant is born in December 1981 from our creativity and from the passion of cooking: since then, it has been the ideal place for the one who looks for genuineness, tradition and unique tastes in a restaurant. The management has been remaining the same one since 1981: the secrets of the kitchen belong to our family management, that is the true point of so much success. The natural kindness, the delicious dishes proposed and the environment, sober and always relaxed, know how to win the new clients and to endear the oldest one. The secrets of staying on the top in so many years are few, but well tested: traditional flats prepared following a rule of art and using first-quality products only. The winning cards of our service? Seriousness, quality, constancy.

A small family run restaurant, the food is amazing. There is an al a carte menu, but check out the buffet first. We arrived at 7.30 which was way too early by Italian standards, and they were still adding to the buffet as it was freshly prepared. Fresh seafood is a specialty but the veal scallopino was also delicious. Very reasonable prices too.

We were recommended this little trattoria by our hotel and they were not wrong. The food was amazing, all traditional Italian and Milanese food and such good quality. Family run, the service is second to none, eaten at a lot of places in Milan but for atmosphere and homeliness La Trebia cannot be beaten, will go back for sure.

I've been coming back to this restaurant for several years, and eat here at least twice during my two five-day trips to Milan most years.

It's family run, with the mother, father and children all working, and attracts mostly neighborhood locals, many of whom are regulars. Even though I only visit Milan twice a year, the owners always greet me with friendly recognition as a return customer.

The food is better than many of the famous restaurants in the fashion district, and about 35 to 40% lower in price.

Their meats are grilled over beechwood and have a fantastic flavor. The Costoletta Milanese is as good as it gets...anywhere! You know the fish is always fresh, because they only serve it on Thursdays and Fridays.

The only item keeping me from awarding it five stars is the very mediocre (or lower, really) commercial quality of the bread.

Aside from the bread, their food is simple and perfect.

This family owned restaurant is a gem. Do not miss an opportunity to have supper here. It is soo enjoyable. Everything was perfect. Five minutes walk from Porta Romana. Easy to find. And worth every cent and euro. Expect a dinner with two courses, wine, some coffee and grappa for about €30/person.

AGain near Grand Visconti. It is also open on a Sunday although we went on a Wednesday. Full of locals having dinner. This is a very residential area so clearly one of the local places to eat. Good food, wine. Slightly slack service. Hilarious incident with a bottle of water smashed by a member of staff. They eventually cleaned it up! Would return.
