We enjoyed a meal here on Sunday night. The food was delicious - we chose spaghetti carbonara and swordfish Sicilian style with a plate of grilled vegetables to share. We had tiramisu and chocolate mousse for dessert which were good. Our hosts brought us appetisers, focaccia and a basket of bread. The chianti wine at 13euros a bottle was excellent so we had two! Everyone was very friendly and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We ate here for two evenings on a short trip to Milan. We stumbled across the place purely by accident, and very nearly didn't go in, as we weren't struck on the exterior - don't let the outside put you off!

The waiters speak very little english, but they will pass you a menu when you do arrive. You are also given some home made anti pasti as you arrive, which is all home cooked, and on display as you walk out. Plenty of choice and flavour.

We ate a pasta dish one night (carbonara) and the veal on the second night, both great choices.

One tip would be to drink the Prosecco!

If you want good traditional Italian food, this is a place for you. We were lucky to chance upon this place and we end up having dinner here twice. When we were there, the place is packed with local. This is the first sign of good Italian food since the locals like it as well. No fancy decoration, only good Italian food. Make sure you visit this place when you are in Milan next time. A short walking distance from Metro station Republicca.

We found the restaurant by chance - we stayed in the hotel across the street and it was raining, so we didn't want to go far.
It turned out to be an excellent choice, and we went back twice during our brief stay in Milan.
It was the mushroom season (porcini), so there were a lot of mushroom dishes on the menu. Fantastic salads, pasta dishes and very good white and red wines.
Not to forget the cheese and desserts - a delicious chestnut mousse was one of them and even the zuppa inglese was very good. Not to talk about the grappa we enjoyed with our coffee.

Delicious food, especially if you are a porcini (Boletus) lover. The tables are situated in a way that create charming intimate atmosphere. The waiter was always there when we needed something, yet not in a way. And all this for a very good price.
