Really good value and food (typical of Rome) and nice place! Big portions and small prices. In two or more try it and make a reservation in advance!

“Not Impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2013

Visited Giulio Pane e Ojo for evening meal, not impressed , quantity and quality of food disappointing, very poor cuts of meat used in lamb and chicken dishes and over cooked. Side dish of vegs very poor at extra charge, House wine not good.

“Go there if you are in love with life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Yes, yes, it is one of these places where you should go for a dinner if you want to have an experience of the place where locals go to eat. The osteria is offering traditional Roman food in centre of Milan, but the quality of the food and atmosphere is absolutely worth to try.
The place is quite tiny and you might be easily sitting very close next to a stranger person, but it is okay - this is how things are in real Italy. Food is simple, special, mouth-melting. I would like to go again and try all menu.

Go there if you are in love with life.
Don't go if you think pizza and pasta are the only representatives of Italian cuisine.

“Where to go for Roman cuisine in Milan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2013

A friend took me to this place hidden (appropriately) behind Porta Romana and it was an excellent surprise. Traditional Roman recipes so often abused are found here at their best: beginning with the ever present carbonara and amatriciana on home made pasta, you will find all the greats: porchetta, trippa, saltimbocca and all done the way they should be.
The other surprise is that the prices are remarkably low for Milan. You can go at lunchtime and eat for €10. We went in the evening where the menu is more complete but you can have an excellent meal for 2 for less than €30 per person including some excellent wine.
The ambiance is extremely relaxed and informal, mostly couples and groups of friends. A real find that I shall be coming back to.
