“The stations pretty cool but...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013

...I wouldn't have gone here had I not been taking a train. Everything is well labeled and easy to get around and find out where you're going/need to be. Best way to purchase a ticket is ahead of time online but if unable to do so then the self checkout kiosk is definitely better and faster than waiting in line for a representative! I loved the trains in Italy, they are comfortable(I was in first class which I recommend), they are fast and they serve food, purchase and complimentary. In fact that's probably my favorite way to travel once in the country!

“watch out for baddies!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

Such a beautiful station, but unfortunately our whole trip was boomeranged by 2 baddies who stole my son's backpack with his passport. This people are living on the station and rob people left and right. There is no security at all and police was so unhelpful - it was terrible! He was robbed right in front of the ticket office and there was no help at all from anyone around. This
cost us thousands! So do not let the beauty of this station misled you that the people around is also good people! They are bad!!!!

“Be careful while you are making photos....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

One of the most beautiful stations of Europe.... I would recommend you to read a short story of the building which is very interesting. This will make you decide whether it is a happy or a sad place. You can eat, shop and get rest in different restaurants, Italian, Asian (wok restaurant is on the grounfloor and hidden), I would recommend Bistro Stazione Centrale which is selfservice quick, modern, fresh, clean and not expensive. They offer free internet service with screens fixed on tables. Prepare your camera 'cause the building is highly photogenic and be very careful of people.... It is safe but just be sure and never look timid. As others say, thieves are everywhere...

“nice, but watch out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

the station is really nice, his construction began before the fascist years and then it was completed by mussolini, who decided to make it the symbol of his power, strongly decorating it with fascist style symbols.
I think 90 per cent of milanese people think that the station was built by mussolini, but it is not true, he has just completed it.
The station was moved from repubblica square to where you can find it now for technical reasons.
In fact, when it was based on repubblica square (you can still see the square walking through all the vittorio pisani street which is straight in front to the station - it is a quite large street) it was a "passage" station, while milan needed an end station for the trains .
if you look on the internet you can also find pictures of large large rooms, which are closed to public but you can visit on the internet (nobody has never seen them i think!).
but please, please, it is a very dangerous area, be careful to your bags and watch out, don't trust kids too (it is sad but it is true).
interesting videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUpRKy7wD10 (watch even if it is in italian... backstage video, in the end you see the secret area)
you can find a burger king, a mc donald's and a lot of shops

“Nice, but not that good.”

Its a place you step by and its pretty, but not relly something you have to see, if you not pass by from the airport.
