“Lovely park for a walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014

We walked through this park while waiting for Basilica Ambrosia to open again after lunch. Enjoyed the views, the pathways and the Arch of Peace (like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris). Really pretty despite the day being rather dull and grey. Relaxing.

“Beautiful enormous park near Castello”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

This is a beautiful, well-maintained park, a short walk from the Duomo and just beyond the Castello. I had the best time here. I saw locals having salsa dancing lessons in a pavillion, an impromptu soccer game, and so many dogs! If you're a dog lover, come here to see the gorgeous variety of all the pretty pups of the city - every breed is represented here. I finished the day with a drink at a bar on the outskirts of the park - magical Milano. One of the best days of my trip.

“A lovely place to escape from the hectic pace of city life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013

Parco Sempione is a wonderful antidote to the hectic pace of life in Milan. At 47 hectares large, and situated just behind the Castello Sforzesco this is the biggest park in the city. There are wide open spaces, benches for sunny days and people watching and a handful of museums and galleries situated within the park.

There is a lovely cafe which is part open air selling snacks, drinks and sandwiches, at reasonable prices. There is something for everyone in this park, dog friendly areas, routes for jiggers, children's play areas and ponds. Just a joy, and for free.
