“Stunning interior”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2014

We are not religious but visited here based on tripadvisor reviews and were glad we did.

Outside is nothing special at all. Inside it is wonderful. Some of the nicest artwork I have seen in any building and that includes museums as well as churches.

Simply stunning and well worth a visit.

“Amazing interior”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

As many have said this does not look like much from the outside but its lovely inside with frescoes on most walls. There are renovations taking place on about 20% of the front chapel but dont forget to visit the rear chapel accessed through a gap in the wall to the left of the church.

Is nicely situated in the area between the Castello and the Last Supper and is worth a visit if you're in the area.

“Unassuming exterior, breathtaking interior”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

But watch out for the well-meaning volunteers who are misinformed. (A delightfully, friendly volunteer there told us that this was a church that welcomed all views and that's why there is a Last Supper "with Christos" and on the opposite wall is Last Supper "without Christos." She seemed pretty proud of this church, but in the flyer we received upon entering, the "without Christos" she referred to was labelled "Wedding at Cana.") Nevertheless, the paintings were astonishingly lovely. And OLD. There was some scaffolding about, but not enough to mar the view.

“From the 9th Century with Great Frescos”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2014

Worth a stop but I would not consider this a top site in Milan given all of the other choices.

This church is part of a 9th century convent and is from around 1500. It is constructed in/near part of Milan's ancient Roman wall.

It has a simple exterior but inside is a very nice series of Luini frescos. Also, the ceiling adornments and some other details are very nice.

“Amazing experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

This church is a MUST see. The painting all over the walls is amazing. Each paint tells a story and the expressions and details will bring you back in time. It is an unbelievable experience.
