I have been two days in Milan to visit the city centre and to do some shopping ( a lot of)....this place is at 5 minutes walking from San Babila metro in a main street. You will spend really a few money to be in the centre of Milan, in 10 minutes walking you are between the most famous shopping streets and in 20 minutes walking you are at the Duomo. Absolutely a good combination of price and service! Breakfast is not the 4 stars hotel but also much more than an usual 2 stars, you can have also a hot cappuccino (this is not possible in every 2 stars hotel), the room is really cleen and the bathroom has a shower not too much small! You have wi fi in every room, air conditioning and 24 hours porter!
This is a really good 2 stars hotel, absolutely over the medium. Have nice days ;)
You get what you pay for. This was a very inexpensive hotel. We simply wanted a place to overnight on a train trip. The room was quite small, but clean and comfortable. It was within reasonable walking distance of both the train station and the downtown. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was like room - spartan but adequate. A very good value for the money.
Hotel Atena is a good hotel if you are looking to stay at an inexpensive hotel in city center Milan. The rooms are small and have a funny smell but there is a good balcony to constantly air out the room. The balcony is good for air and ambiance, but bad if you want peace and quiet. There is a tram and vehicle traffic right outside, but this didn't bother us. There is free wifi, even though booking.com said it was 5 Euro/ hour. The bathroom shower stall is VERY SMALL so beware! The bed is not comfortable, but is okay for short stays. Breakfast is self-serve from 7:30am-10am. It includes pre-packaged croissants, expressor drinks, nutella, jam, cereals, juices, and fruit. The staff are not friendly, but for 60 Euro/night, I didn't mind. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the nearest bus stop #61 and 10 minutes walk to the neartest train station Porta Venezia. It is only a few train stops from the Duomo and shopping district. Overall, I liked my stay at Hotel Atena and would return again if I were to visit Milan for a short term stay.
the hotel is a very basic accommodation with small, but clean rooms and helpful staff. the hotel is reasonably priced, central, close to public transport and within walking distance of most tourist sites.
