we visited this attraction on a whim as we were sightseeing around the city. It was well worth the entry fee. Filled with models of Leonardo's inventions, including a marvelous VR interactive boat ride, it is a completely entertaining and informative experience. I wonder, though - why no photography allowed? We'll steal his ideas? For a wood and linen flying machine?

Nice introduction to Leonardo's most famous works. Although the area is rather small, they made good use of the available area. Additional information on Leonardo's replicas is provided by textual descriptions and touch screens. Textual descriptions are only in Italian, but an audio tour provides similar information. The touch screens have multiple languages, including English.

Did this as part of the Milan city pass, not a very big museum so you should definitely get the audio tour.

Was excited at the prospect of an exhibition that celebrated 500 years since Leonardo’s passing. Very small and barely scraped the surface of the achievements of this amazing individual. Save your money and don’t bother

I really enjoyed this exhibition and learnt a lot about the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. The interactive screens, 3D virtual representations of his inventions and sketches and the information about his lifetime’s work were amazing. I think this would be a terrific family outing (suit 10 and over) although I loved it as a solo adult. I was particularly fascinated by the machines he was trying to perfect and also the breadth of his skill across art and science, engineering and design.
I didn’t use an audio guide, despite knowing the panels were in Italian only. The screens had English translations and provided plenty of information. I thought €12 was very good value for the exhibition and would recommend it
