Recently I Was. In Milan and i decided to find. a nice restaurant in Brera's area. Surprise surprise .... The old and historic Bar/tobacco " The Cave of Montmatre" has been recently replaced from a nice and fine new Restaurant /pizzeria "Taverna del Borgo Antico". I've found a A very well Articulated menù a la carte , various tasty appetizer, , home Made fantastic Pastas, fresh fish available in different Way of cooking, excellent quality and choice of meats, home Made desserts, and last but non least, they serve a very good Pizza ,like the original Naple's Pizza with an high crispy edge. Inside the atmosphere is cosy with only some tables, but There's also an undergroud saletta for a reserved dinner (a work dinner or a party birthday) which can contain more or less 20-25 peoples. Confortable and pleasant is the outside veranda , where even in winter si possibile to have Lunch or dinner., thanks to many mushroom/ stoves which heat efficiently the table while you can watch the "via vai" of the local and strange people animating the Milan artist's district. The staff is fast and professional, and finally a detail that of corse you can't skip, is the check that is very honest and proper for A restaurant in Brera. The suggestion I can Give you now, is " You must go " !! Dino T.
