“Excellent italian food!”

The staff at the restaurant is always friendly and welcoming. The pizza we had was great and is large enough for two to share (if you are not too hungry). We also had Scaloppini a limone which was divine.

Highly recommended!!!

“Delicious Food, Friendly Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

We were wandering around the Navigli neighborhood, trying to avoid Irish pubs and burger joints, and found Buona Forchetta. We were a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) which isn't always easy to accommodate if you want to sit outside, but the staff was happy to move tables and make it work. I typically think the menu of the day is the way to go, and that was true here. 3 of us chose that option and everything was delicious. Our table also tried the caprese, salad with salami, steak, risotto, and spaghetti with mussels and no one was disappointed. The staff was really friendly, and we never felt rushed. It was a lovely afternoon, and we would definitely go back.

Close to the metro Porta Genova, in the Close to the metro Porta Genova, in the nice canal restaurant area, we had very good pasta with fruitti di mare, very tasty risotto.
there were many local customers and the bill was very reasonable! We liked it!

“New friends who make deliciously amazing food at a good price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

After eating at the fancy places in/near Galleria in Milan, we read on an Eating Italy blog about the Navigli canals.

We walked up and down the canals looking for something to eat pretty late at night. Most people were having cocktails. The places we passed by on both sides were packed with no tables available, others were completely empty. After looking at the menu we stumbled to an open table outside Buona Forchetta. The waitress, Gaia, immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. She spoke wonderful English and was so nice and helpful (especially since I have dietary restrictions). We ordered the pennette arribiatta and the pasta alla amatricana (?) and also a pizza al funghi cause we were hungry. Everything was delicious! Better than most restaurants weve been to in Rome/Florence/Venice. And pretty cheap prices! We ordered 2 pastas, a pizza, a bottle of wine and a soda for around 40 euros! While sitting there my sister and I tried our horrible italian vocabulary and made friends with the staff who were very charming. I count the days until I can eat here again. I am already planning my next visit to Milan (navigli) to eat it again.

The area is wonderful for strolls late at night, its were young kids come to drink and couples walk together.

Its a quick metro stop or two from duomo and very easy to get to. From Duomo take M1 towards Rho Fiera/Biscegue. Get off at Cordona, make a line change on the M2 headed towards Abbiategrasso getting off at Port Genova. Its one of the first restaurants on the left outside the metro station
