we stopped off here for a slice of cake and coffee, after being enticed by the decor and display of cakes. It was very busy, which is usually a good sign for us, and we had to wait a while to be seated. However, when seated, our order was not taken until we had to literally wave to a waiter to get his attention. We ordered our cakes and waited for them to arrive. Most of our cakes arrived in about 20mins, except for my friend, who was still waiting for hers. We waited and waited and after 45 minutes we called the waiter to see what had happened about the missing cake. 10mins later they tell us that the cake she ordered was finished and out of stock. This was ridiculous and unacceptable, yet the staff were not apologetic at all and simply suggested she ordered something else. Such service for me was shocking, considering they looked like such a high end reputable bakery in a posh area of Corso Como. I was disappointed more than anything. In the mean time, my coffee had still not arrived, when I asked what happened to that order, they simply said they forgot to put my order through and will do it now. What was most annoying was their lack of apologies for all the mistakes they made. It was frankly rude. The cakes themselves were mediocre and overpriced. It's a shame because we went into that cafe expecting good service, but were left terribly disappointed.
