I love this place because it's very cute, very girly and feminine. They have the best croissants in all of Italy. I like their cakes and mini cupcakes. They offer a lunch with a very limited tiny menu that changes every day such as a ceaser salad, quiche, or scrambled eggs. I almost always enjoy the music they have playing inside but it's beautiful to sit out side as well.
But here's the thing, I live on the same street and love the food, but I almost never go there... why? Because the owner (I believe she is the owner or at a minimum the general manager) is soooooooooo negative and depressing!!! I have nothing personal against her, she's never treated me badly and I don't know her since she makes zero effort to know or speak with any of her customers. (I watch her interact with every one else, it's not just me!) I can't go here because she kills any nice energy vibe of the place. She even in the last year seemed to lose a lot of weight, we had hoped she would become more pleasant after that but no. She never ever smiles, not even a half smile. In the last two years I have gone here more than 20 times, at different hours of the day etc. It's always the same. Her not smiling, speaking seemingly rudely to her employees, and not uttering any words more than necessary to her customers. She literally looks like a person who hates every second of her life. I have tried for so long to give her the benefit of the doubt but two years and always the same.
I'll also note that frequently the place is a bit smelly, like a basement, they sometimes have a dog inside the kitchen, and there are often very tiny tiny flies inside the display case.
And this makes me so sad because I love the concept, the location, even the good prices, and the food!! The place would be heaven with out her around.
