We chanced upon this place while walking around Milan and stopped in for a beer. This was excellent and a good bit cheaper than the local competition. We had a look at the menu and decided to dine here later. We didn’t bother to book as the place was massive and empty on the Saturday afternoon we visited, but we ended up lucky to get a table at 9pm as it was mobbed.

It was only on re-reading the menu that I realised this place was part of a large chain. It was exactly what you’d expect in a Tex-Mex style theme restaurant although they had a strange custom of handing out buckets of peanuts in their shells which they encouraged you to eat and drop the remains on the floor - maybe not a place for nut allergy sufferers then!

We were given a table upstairs which turned out to be a bad move. It looks like the locals park their kids here for the night there were nothing but teenagers apart from us and another bemused couple on the whole floor. The kids were fine but rowdy as you’d expect.

The service was pretty good with the beer flowing freely. They serve Miller in chunky glasses for 4.6 Euro for 400ml or 16 Euro for a 1.5 litre pitcher.

The food was variable. The starters were about 5 Euro but pretty tasteless and deep fried. I had a fried wrap with unknown contents. It came with a blob of pink prawn cocktail dressing but this did nothing to enliven the taste. My wife had some croquettes and although it was a large portion they were tasteless and she only ate half.

The mains appeared as soon as the starters were finished and the service did seem a bit rushed - no doubt they wanted the table back. I had the ribs which were good but a bit dry. They did provide an additional tub of the barbecue sauce and the fries were good. My wife had a lime chicken dish which she enjoyed although her chips were far fewer and far skinnier. The ribs were about 18 Euro and the chicken 12 Euro.

Our bill came to about 60 Euro which was OK for a decent but unmemorable meal in the company of Milan’s teenage throngs!
