We wonder why this place has a total rating of 3.5, we LOVED it. To us, it was the best pizza in the world. Nice place, always busy, quick service.

No matter how many negative reviews Fresco & Cimmino gets here, it is guaranteed to be full with locals and tourists every evening, plus a lot of people outside waiting to be seated in. This is simply because the location of the restaurant is perfect (literally at the footsteps of Duomo), its decoration and atmosphere is quite inviting, and the waiters are quite friendly. Chances are that some customers will be upset because of waiting time, and it may happens that they may wait up to 30 minutes (on weekend evenings).

Regarding the food, the pizza and pasta are quite tasty, if not extraordinariliy delicious. In a nutshell, Fresco & Cimmino is a good option for those who don't want to fall into tourist traps which abound near Duomo, and wish to have a pleasant dining experience.

I went to this restaurant recently and, although expensive, the quality of food is quite good and the place is nicely furnished. On the negative side it is noisy and impersonal and the service isn't great with a manager who barks orders and is very rude to guests.
One of the waitresses spilled a lemon sorbet drink all over my friend when we were there and barely apologised. Then the manager shouted at my friend telling her to get upstairs and clean herself up as if she was letting down the tone of the restaurant. We were offered no compensation, not even a free glass of wine and they offered the price of the dry cleaning only after we made a fuss at the end. We felt very badly treated, a young waiter did come over at the very end to try and smooth things over but the damage was done.

I went with 3 friends/colleagues for what should have been a nice dinner, pizza was good, company fab, but then a clueless waiter managed to (by not paying attention) walk past and spill lemon sorbet all over my friend's coatcoat, narrowly missing her head! No apology, the waiter just ran away, a few other waiters came over, started cleaning the chair, manager came over begrudgingly, acted rude, didn't care about what had happened and certainly didn't apologise. Once we asked for the bill and spoke to manager about the dry cleaning, he tried to shrug us off and even threatened to call the police when we said we didn't want to pay the cover charge! we finally left by getting the dry cleaning fee but had to shout a lot! I don't recommend this place if you want to have a nice evening out; this is italy, there are plenty of good pizzas with better service everywhere! Save yourself the trouble or just be prepared to argue with the rude manager.
