We came here twice, the first time mainly because it was near our hotel (hotel edy)... but it was such a great dinner that we decided to go here our second (and last) night in Milan too.
The owner is very welcoming and he especially types (while asking in the kitchen how some words should be translated in English) and prints an English menu for foreigners. (They don't have a menu, since they change it every (!) day and he just explains it to locals)
The food is simple but so delicious, the tiramisu is the best. We were trying to spoon the whole cup out, when the owner shouted STOP and gave us an extra cup with the tiramisu cream.
Next to that you get great value for money, as they do not charge for service costs and all the meals are of reasonable price. Also the red housewine is great and only 5€ for halve a liter.
I understand it is a little bit out of town, but just take the subway to this place and have the best dinner you will probably have in Milan for this money.
