I stayed here for 3 nights.

The rooms were very beautiful however small.
The gardens were also very beautiful and the breakfast was quite nice.
The hotel is close to transport and amenities.
The service was quite average- perhaps the reception staff need to be more accomodating.
The front office manager however was fantastic! She was extremely accomodating and assisted us for all our tour bookings and changes. She was very professional, friendly and well-mannered.
Over all a good experience

We stayed at the Grand Visconti for a weekend in August. I have never encountered such accommodating, helpful staff in my entire experience of hotel visits. Nothing was too much trouble...and a special thank you goes to Bernie, who responded to every email with unfailing, positive politeness. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

The Grand Visconti was the epitome of plush. The rooms were incredible with lots of extras you would only normally get with a 5* hotel: slippers; facial skincare products; robes; turnover service with chocolates on pillows etc.

Continental breakfast was included and consisted of a fantastic variety inclyding cooked eggs and bacon despite being a continental.

The location wasn't ideal but the hotel more than made up for it compared to prices of hotels closer to the Duomo district. The metro station is just round the corner (3min walk) and you can be in the centre within 10mins.

The only issue we had was being made to buy swimming caps to use the pool (5euro)...perhaps more common in france than the uk.

Otherwise i would say that the hotel made our milan holiday.

We booked for three nights but ended up staying for the whole of our ten-day holiday. This was partly because we had booked a standard room but were offered a free upgrade on arrival.
The room was spacious, with a huge bed, marble bathroom and all the features you would expect to find in a quality hotel room. Our room overlooked the courtyard garden, which meant that it was also admirably quiet. Even the air conditioning was less noisy than in most hotels. Breakfast was an excellent buffet with both 'English' and 'Continental' fare in abundance, but on request the hotel will prepare a 'breakfast box' with sandwiches, crispbread, preserves, fruit etc. to take away if you are planning an early excursion.
Staff were unfailingly polite and helpful and the room immaculately clean on our return in the evening.
The hotel is a couple of minutes away from a Metro station from where a 1.5 euro ticket will get you to the centre of the city in ten minutes.
The only thing preventing me awarding an 'excellent' rating is access to the hotel pool. We were disappointed to find that the pool opened at 10am, ruling out an early-morning swim, closed at, I think, 8pm and there was a charge of 10 euros per person PER DAY for its use. This is a lot to pay for a half-hour dip so we didn't bother.
However, if you're not bothered about the pool I would heartily recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the courtyard.

I stayed here at the beginning of August in 2013. The first thing that impressed me was the hotel facade - it definitely lives up to the 'Grand' in the hotel name. The lobby is also impressive and shiny.

The room I had on the 4th floor was gorgeous. The decor is very grand and stylish, with luxurious wallpaper, a huge bed and large thick curtains. I didn't have a room with a view but I don't really feel like I missed out as during breakfast the doors to the garden are open from the breakfast area so the view of the garden can be enjoyed at that time.

Just one block away there is a metro station. It takes around a 5 min walk at most to get to the metro so it was very convenient. The metro station was only a couple of stops from central Milan so it was easy to get in to the city.

I would recommend staying here. You're not right in the centre of town which means that it's affordable

I didn't use the pool as there was an extra charge of 10 euros which I thought was a bit cheeky!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights for our silver wedding. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a deluxe room with a view of the garden,as we had mentioned when booking about our silver wedding. It was a lovely room the air conditioning was very welcome. The hotel sent up a bottle of wine and a note to celebrate our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. It was so easy to get round on the metro from the hotel. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return. The breakfast was fantastic so much choice! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Yes, it's not located at the city centre, however, there is an elavator at Lodi TIBB Station (metro), so we didn't have any problem with our heavy loads of luggage. The hotel is only one block away across the road from the elavator of the metro.
The room we booked was a standard one, small but there was sufficient room for the two of us moving about to fetch the things we needed and get changed, etc. Newly decorated, the room was stylish and luxurious, with classical curtains and a comfortable armchair and a coffee table.
The bathroom was considerably big. However, the tube was only protected halfway -- I prefer a shower curtain that would prevent water from being splashed during the shower.
For cleanliness, I'd give it a top 4 or low 5.
View from the room -- sorry, in the city of Milan, I don't think the €110 we paid could offer a nice view. We were very satisfied with the rest of what we got apart from that.
Nice garden, where most people prefer for breakfast. The first morning we had breakfast inside because it was too hot and the sunlight too strong, but thanks to the rain on the second day -- we sat at the garden, well sheltered and could smell the freshness of the rain and the plants in the cool breeze. Despite the fact that they did not provide the wheat bread I like and the toaster was slow, breakfast was a sheer enjoyment and relaxation at this hotel.
Excellent service, particularly from the concierge Antionelle. She was polite and extremely patient with our many questions ranging from tips for where to eat and the best way to get a glimpse of the MUST-GO places. Her advice was practical and she helped us save time and money.
True -- free wi-fi in the lobby, renewable every half hour, unlimited.

Room Tip: Rooms with a garden view are expensive, and you don't need one unless you don't eat breakfas...
