“Noisy, but clean”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2008

We had a difficult time finding a hotel in Milan at a reasonable price because of major exhibitions going on the day we arrived. The Corallo was the best deal we could find, but was still expensive. I'd stay somewhere else if I was ever back in Milan unless it is a major exhibition week when all the hotels jack up their rates.

Room was comfortable and very clean, however, you could hear everything going on. Two people had an extended conversation that sounded like it was going on at the foot of the bed very late at night.

Breakfast was average and desk staff were polite and spoke decent English. We took a cab from the Cadorna station after coming into town on the Malpensa Express train which took about 15 minutes and was 12-15 Euros.

The tram near the hotel is very easy to use and takes you right downtown to the Duomo. Note that despite other posts the tram is not free. You can buy tickets for 1 euro a trip about a block from the hotel. Chances of being caught without a ticket are low, but I didn't mind paying for my trip.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights last weekend.
Shrotly, it'll be quite good selection for your Milan journey at reasonable price.

- Price: I booked ensuite double room at around £40 for a night.
- Location: It was little bit hard to find it from Central Station Milan at first but you can realise it is not that bad if you hang around in Milan. Trams are much more useful to hang around than metro.
- Cleaness: Though it is not 4 or 5 star hotel, the room was cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was too.
- Kindness of Staff: All staffs were quite good at English speaking and they were kind.
- Breakfast: It's close to Continental B/F but it was enogh as B/F.
- Other facilities: B/F lounge was quite tiny but not that bad and the hotel has its own lift.

Other tips for Milan
- Don't take Merecedes-Benz taxis. Their basic fare is three times more than normals.
- Enjoy trams! Most streets are covered by trams. You don't need to come inside the subways.
- If you have time, I strongly recommend you to come to Genova.
It is just 2 hours distance by train from Milan Central Station. You can enjoy oceanfront beautiful city and many others things such as old castle and cathedrals.
- Go up to top of Duomo Cathedral. It's best way to feel Michelangelo's work and to get aerial view of Milan.

Hotel Corallo is very nice! Easy to find. Rooms are not very big but clean and nice! Breakfast was good, people are friendly.

It's very easy to go in the center town, there is a tramway at just 30secondes from the hotel and it takes 5-10minutes to go in the center.

There is some shops and restaurants near the hotel...

We were very happy...

Hotel Corallo is very nice, we stayed for 2nights.we took the tram everywhere for free to jump on board. The hotel breakfast is reasonable or you can nip out to the local resturants etc. The one thing thats a let down with this hotel is there was NO IRON at all due to a health and safety and this is many hotels in area .So there is a laundrette nearby, which is not open on sundays i dont think. But stay here its nice. The rooms are nice size and the bathroom .

My husband and I took a month to travel through Italy and Milan was our first stop. After a harrowing 24 travel day..we arrived at Hotel Corallo very late at night and found the front desk attendant very polite and attentive. The hotel was very clean..both lobby and room..Basic and clean. Which was fine, as we planned to spend 95% of our time site seeing and wandering around the city.

We had a light breakfast ..yogurt, coffee and fruit and headed out.

It is a great location if you are flying through Linate airport and travel on the trolley. We had no complaints.
