“A must”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

I love opera, so to get to hear an opera at the famed La Scala is a special treat.. If you don't have the time, it is still a treat to visit the museum and perhaps catch a glimpse of a rehearsal or at least get a glimpse of the opera house.

“Gorgeous paintings”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

We were absolutely entranced by the collection of modern and 19th century paintings in this gallery. We particularly liked the Italian romantic painter Hayez. The use of light and detail is outstanding in his paintings.

“An unknown jewel”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

One of the most interesting museums in Milan, absolutely a Must-go!

Accessible either from Piazza della Scala or from Via Manzoni, there is an incredible collection of Canova's plasters, 19th century paintings depicting mainly lombardy and lakes, 20th century paintings and istallations.
Everything located in fantastic buindings, with beautiful rooms, in the heart of Milan.

Very good the bar and the restaurant, with a wide bookshop.

Unfortunately, this jewel is not very known and promoted yet.
