My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Lancaster for 5 nights in April 2007. It has to be one of the best kept secrets in Milano. At the price we paid through one of TripAdvisor's recommended booking agents, it was excellent value indeed. The room was excellent. Lovely timber panelling , so beloved of northern Italians, with every amenity one could reasonably wish for. We even had a "terrace", not much of a view as it faced north, but a great place to hang our washing out to dry. The breakfasts, included in the room price, were excellent. The best part is the staff who really do go the extra mile for their guests, especially the charming signorina who staffs the reception counter during the day. She is multi-lingual and one of the most helpful people I've ever encountered....and I travel alot. The hotel is a short tram ride from the Cadorna Railway Station that is the terminus for the Malpensa Express. There is a very good supermarket a few minutes' walk away and a number of good bars and restaurants in the vicinity. We would stay there again with the greatest of pleasure.

The hotel is a charming place with good food and really helpful staff. It is not exactly in the center, but it is 12 minutes far from Cadorna Train Station from where you can take the train to the airport or the subway to the main attractions. It was really a nice stay!

We stayed at Hotel Lancaster for 2 nights. The location was good, as it was quiet during the evenings. A short walk from the park and to the centre of the city. The rooms were clean and simply but nicely decorated. The staff were most helpful. They had excellent breakfasts (typical italian fare but also lots of fresh fruit) and their bar was very nice. All in all, we would stay there again :-)

Booked this hotel for my parents after seeing its top rank status, and they were disappointed. They said it was in the middle of a dead street, and they could not walk to anywhere interesting....a long 30-minute walk to the city centre. In fact they would spend about E25 for round trip taxi fare just to get to and fro the city centre.

We expected just an average hotel and were very pleased for the incredible value we received.

The location was excellent - right near Sempione Park, great restaurants and sightseeing.

The room was spacious, clean and modern, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had expected just a routine breakfast and were again surprised with a wonderful meal.

We would not hesitate to book this hotel again!!!!!
