“A great find!”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this lovely small hotel. The location is fantastic! A short walk and you are standing in front of the Duomo. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do in our short stay (another visit is really necessary). Our room was very clean, we had a comfortable bed. The bathroom is small but had a rain shower fixture. It was a nice benefit that the items in the mini bar were complimentary! The breakfast was lovely with a nice selection. We will not hesitate to choose this hotel during our next visit to Milan.

We decided to visit Milan for our wedding anniversary as we had traveled extensively through Italy in the past but never visited Milan. We booked the hotel after checking reviews in Trip Advisor. A quiet, well appointed and very comfortable hotel in a quiet street 5 minutes from "Il Duomo" with an excellent shower ensuite. A good breakfast is included in the room rate and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant in the hotel but 2 minutes walk in any direction will bring you to a choice of good dining in old Milan. We especially like Osteria de Borromei, a traditional Italian restaurant in a narrow sidestreet and several of the restaurants in the Brera district. A really enjoyable 5 days in Milan.

Location:
Very centrally located hotel. It is less than five minutes walk from the duomo, and thus quite a few restaurants and shops nearby.
I traveled with a friend, and we spent all our evenings in other neighbourhoods, because there is not a lot of bars or pubs close to the hotel. But it is easy to travel by subway or taxi. We never paid more than 10-11 euros for taxi, no matter if we went to navgili, brera or park.

The hotel itself:
The breakfast is very good, it even offered knekkebrød for those who know to appreciate that :)
Staff in the reseption, breakfast room and cleaners were all nice. The rooms get cleaned daily, and the water/juice/softdrinks in the minibar are free!
The room we had was large anough for two, and even had a small balcony.

We spent two nights here on our first visit to Milan and loved the excellent location, just a few short minutes from the Duomo area yet in a very quiet location. It also was close to some very nice restaurants, and it was an easy lovely walk to our pre-reserved visit to the glorious DaVinci "Last Supper" (worth all the trouble in booking; simply amazing and even more glorious than expected). We never had to use taxis or buses for any of our Milan destinations except the train station.

Our room was plain and smaller than expected but the high ceilings really gave a more spacious feeling and it was comfortable with good beds and fresh linens. The bathroom was large and modern, and the breakfast was very good with many choices and good service.

The best part, however, was the excellent and responsive staff, from the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff, who were so very friendly and helpful. We certainly would return again to this wonderful location.

Wonderful experience for first time in Milan. Walking distance to everything. Quiet cobblestone streets. Small rooms but not a problem for us. Showers excellent especially for my tall husband! Peck Deli around the corner was a real treat; watching the locals buying their fresh pasta etc. we ate lunch upstairs in the restaurant. Amazing pasta.

Marvelous location. The staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions,"Last Supper tickets, and any general questions we had. We found the hotel to be very clean and our room was a nice size.this will definitely be our hotel in Milano. The concierge in the evening-don't remember her name-short dark hair-was extremely helpful with wonderful restaurants and even wrote out directions longhand.

Good value for money. For me a good central location and very friendly staff.
This is a hotel that has been there a very long time. Stayed there many years ago. Obviusly it has been upgraded - but tastefully so.
