Very nice experience. Close to center (30 minutes walking from Duomo/3 metro +2 tram station). Very close to Riviera (25 minutes walking or 5-6 tram station). Very nice receptionist (the puffy one with glasses) he helped us with advices, info about trips to Verona, Lugano and Como.
The breakfast very nice. We was very surprised by variety, because we would expect at classic continental breakfast. Mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh squeezed orange juice, croissants, muffins, nutella, butter, yogurts and other goodies. There was a problem with the window, not closing properly and the tram could be heard from room.
Only italian channels (RAI 1,2,3,....4587, 4588, etc :) )no discovery or something interesting.

I only stayed on night at Hotel Liberty but had a good night of sleep. The hotel and rooms are a bit tired but comfortable. It's located 5mn away by foot from Bocconi university; there's an excellent restaurant across the street: Osteria dell Oca Giuliva (at # 29 via Bligny). Breakfast was very good.

I and my boyfriend have spent a lovely week-end in this really nice hotel in antique style. It seems to be old from the first sight , but in fact its old-fashion style brings a romantic atmosphere. Moreover, we had a double-room with a small balcony on the roof on the last 6th floor. What can be better? The only "BUT" is that we expected to have the room with the bath. As we understood from the description on the web-site every room supposed to have it. But as we arrived late around 11 pm there was no any left. So we got the room with the general shower (bathing-box). The next day very polite receptionist offered us to move to another room with bath as we asked, but unfortunately they have just twin-rooms with bath, so we prefered to stay in the double-one.
Breakfast was general, but fresh and good. Especially I liked "il cappuccino con il cornetto cioccolato".
There is a tram that passing by the hotel very often, so if you are very sensitive to the noise ask the room on the highest floor while booking (there is an option like "additional request" on the web-site).
As I said before, I will definitely choose this hotel the next time I'm in Milan!

During College I studied abroad at Bocconi University in Milan for 6 months and lived in one of their dorms. When a friend came to visit for spring break that year, I ended up staying with her at Hotel Liberty for the week. I chose this hotel because of the Location - close to Bocconi University, tram stops, metro, resturants, night life, and the duomo. These are definite pro's. Having lived in Milan for several months before she arrived, I was familiar enough with the area. I think Hotel Liberty often gets overlooked. It was, on the whole, a positive experience. In addition to the area being convenient, it is also very safe. As far as cons, the staff was on several occations pretty rude to us in situations that didn't warrant it. It was interesting to see how the staff acted around college kids vs. parents of students who also chose to stay here.

Overall, the experience was good enough. I did try to stay here again when I returned to visit Milan 2 years later if that's any indication. However, the prices had skyrocketed and they hardly had any available rooms. We ended up choosing Hotel Residence Romana for the 2nd trip and overall I would choose Hotel Residence Romana over Hotel Liberty.

This hotel is set in a convenient location, there is a tram that goes to the main centre which is a short 100m walk away, or if you prefer it is only a 15-20 min walk to the Duomo. The rooms are a clean and a reasonable size although the decor is a little dated.

A buffet continental breakfast is served every morning and is of a good standard. The hotel staff were friendly and happy to help with any enquiries. All in all this hotel is good value for money and you get what you pay for.

The Hotel is nice and clean, looks a bit dated. Negative, I stayed in the 5th floor and the water pressure was so low that there was no or yellow water in the morning. Close distance to the city is a plus.

the hotel was fine, although the owners tend to confuse old-fashion stile with kitsch stuff. the room was ok and clean but very old furniture. help desk staff was nice. however, something which was quite annoing is that in the breakfast room there was a tv switched on with very loud volume.
