“Very good value for money stay ...”

We were here on a 10 day trip to Italy with many stops. Very friendly staff - nice and cheap drinks during afternoon aperitivo. Stayed in the double room on top floor - very quiet. Room very basic but after all we only used it a few hours each day. Wifi everywhere and also nice little terrace on top floor for a more lounge - chill out feeling if you dont want all the downstairs buzz ... Check out San Lorenzo column area for a drink just a 2 minute away walk .. oh and ... Grom ice cream right after the columns ... maybe our best ice cream in Milan.

It was really great to stay here for 3 nights! Riom is still the hostel's one but it's fine. At the evening the cafe on the 1st floor works as the open place. So you can meet the local molano people! And that's cool. Thank you guys!! Surely will come back here in case of another visit to Milano!

Absolutely extraordinary.

Pros: free, delicious breakfast (including free coffee and nutella), clean rooms, soundproof doors and walls, bathrooms in the room, comfortable mattresses, free sheets, blankets and towels, great bar downstairs, excellent 4 euro aperitivo with drink and buffet, incredibly fast wifi, kind staff, free welcome drink, cheap, tasty wine, good music taste, large community room downstairs for lounging, excellent location (5min walk to Duomo), kitchen available for use, nice terraces.

Cons: the shower water pressure was slightly less than ideal. Still hot, though. And that's it. That's the only thing I can think of to improve.

If you are in Milan, you don't want to stay anywhere else. This place is ideal in every way. Young and old alike will be delighted by Ostello Bello.

We stayed in Ostello Bello Milan for a short two days but did not miss why this is ranked the best hostel in the world. With comfortable rooms, spacious bathrooms, two lovely terraces, a kitchen for guests to use, a hip bar downstairs, another communal area in the basement, and extremely friendly and accommodating staff, my wife and I couldn't help but wish that we were about 10 years younger to enjoy everything.

The walls are fine but the ceiling seemed a bit thin. A couple upstairs did not miss to remind us of the exciting times we once had.

I stayed only one night in Milano and this was also my first hostel experience in my life. Giulia x 2 and Eva were very welcoming. They gave me satisfying responses of my questions about the city. The atmosphere in the main lobby was pretty good. You can use free internet and chill out there grabbing a drink.

The location was awesome. 5 minute walk from Duomo which is the central hub of the city.

Breakfast wasn't so various; but it was what you can imagine from a hostel.

They stored my luggage the next day until my return from Lake Como.

I would highly recommend this hostel to travellers.

I'm an older hosteler so I was at the top of the age range for this trendy hostel but I felt very welcome. In fact, when I mentioned that no one else was my age people said "it's a good thing you are here to represent older hostelers. We want everyone to come here and feel welcome." Milan is expensive for food and it is almost possible to take advantage of the unlimited breakfast and the snacks at happy hour (after buying a drink) to live off of. The management seems to understand this and encourages hostelers to eat up if they look hungry at happy hour. The bar area is popular with locals that it's best to look for the table reserved for hostelers and make some new friends. The dorms are a bit of a challenge if you want to get to sleep early. It's a city hostel with people coming in late and getting up early to catch flights. Expect that going in and don't get upset if you get woken up. That's another place where a "young at heart" attitude is a plus. All in all, two thumbs up for Ostello Bello.

Room Tip: Smaller rooms are probably better if you want to get to sleep early. Expect activity both late and e...

Nice place with acceptable price and especially good location rather close to the historical center of milan. There is a little bar in there that participate to the good ambiant of the place. There was a bit of noise one night but no more than in every hostel I did before. Passed two nights there and nothing bad to say about it!
