“very good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

if you are looking for a very good location in Milan this hotel is the answer , the hotel is within walking distance to all the main attractions and the shopping streets, we had a triple room with a very good size , breakfast was very good with lots of varieties that accommodate all of us , though the furniture is out dated and make you feel you are in early nineties but it was comfortable the only drawback is that our room window has no black-out which wake us as early as sunshine otherwise it is avery good hotel recommended

Room Tip: the wi-fi only work in the lobby and in the first floor so try to book you room in first floor

Hotel Galileo is a four stars hotel located near San Babila, in the very centre of Milan. Hotel can be reached very easily by Metro. If you reach the hotel by car, parking places are available, but of course expensive. Fixtures and furnishings look quite old, but rooms have reasonable space (I booked a single one) and are well equipped. Bathroom was very clean. Staff of Hotel was very helpful and kind which is unfortunately not a rule in Italy.

My wife and my daughter stayed at Galileo Hotel in Milan. The location is perfect where you are close to all tourist attractions. So, the location is perfect. However, one would expect a bit more from a 4 star hotel and the prices. To start with rooms are more like a "capsule" although the size of the room accommodated for three people. Breakfast is OK and generous and is included in the price. No WiFi in the rooms although you could have the coverage in the lobby and in the 1st floor where breakfast is served. The staff tried their best to be friendly but really their knowledge of Milan was minimal. Another negative point is the lack of safes in the room which was provided down at the reception but there is an inconvenience when you cannot access you passports and valuables in your room. I should say that the hotel ran a very efficient laundry services for the same day delivery. As I said, most probably the location makes up for the above short-comings but I believe the hotel needs a rennovation ASAP as everything looks quite outdated and old. We had a great time in Milan and in particular our trips to Verona and Lake Como were the highlights of our visit to Italy.

My wife and I and our two small children stayed in a triple room on the 9th floor. The room was wonderful - exceptionally comfortable beds (with turndown service), lots of space, and a lot of nice small touches like an electric panel by the bed to control the lights, the window blinds, the door lock, etc. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating - I'd made a mistake with my reservation (my dates were off by one day), but they took care of it very quickly. Breakfast was great - a good selection of hot and cold foods with very friendly staff. The hotel is also very accommodating to families. The location also couldn't be better. The only complaint I have is that there's no wifi in the rooms, but there is a hardwired connection.

Room Tip: A triple room is great for families - two double sized beds and plenty of space.

Easy to find, near direct 73X from Linate. Very close to shops, Duomo, La Scala and Metro.
Breakfast was very good - not all hotels serve espresso. Room was clean and a decent size. Furniture and fittings dated, but that wasn't a problem for us. No wifi in rooms, only on ground and first floor. We would go back to this hotel.

You really never know what you might get sometimes when you come round the corner looking for the sign but this place was a wonderful surprise.
The reception was great and very hegel even whe they could not find the booking and the rooms were spacious and above all clean.
The bar area was the best with the staff being very friendly Nd helpful.
I would recommend this place to everyone, and the location sorry I won't forget that,

Great location! 2 minutes walk form the bus station (taking you from and to Linate), 3 minutes walk from metro station, 5 minutes walk from the Dome, 6 minutes from Emanuelle Galleries, 10 minutes from the Scala, 5 minutes from the major shopping street.

The furniture is kinda old, but the room is clean.
