I had tried Japanese food before, but this time I wanted a real Japanese restaurant. Sumire is strategically placed near the buzzing nightlife area of Corso Como and Corso Garibaldi; it's small so if you want to dine here you should book. To be honest, the food was good, but what I really appreciated was the atmosphere: every member of the staff was Japanese, we were seated directly in front of the chef who incessantly prepared sushi and we had our sake poured to the rim of the glass, until it overflowed inside the masu.
