“great hotel and great location”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

Visited Milan on 29.06.2012 for 4 day and stayed in ADI Hotel Poliziano Fiera. The hotel was very nice, clean, with friendly staff and very convenient location. The food was excellent. Free Wi-Fi, but the connection was awful. The hotel is very close to the Castle and Duomo and San Siro walkind distance for 30-40 minutes, the BEST ice-cream is 5 minutes from the hotel and outdoor market. Best hotel and we had the best time ever!!

Very nice hotel around 1 hour walking distance the city center, but you can use tram. Very nice and helpfull staff, very clean and comfortable rooms - huge double bed, rather good breakfast, free internet in the lobby avaliable for all hotel guests. Nice stay, can not say anything bad - only disadvantage is the distance to Duomo, but....tram stop is just around the corner so don't be affraid:-)

Room Tip: highest floor rooms

This is a great hotel in perfect commuting location. It's a decent but interesting 40 minute walk to get to the castle with another 20 minutes to get to the Duomo. However, if you're not up to the walk (or if its a scorching hot day like the one I walked in), then the No. 1 tram is a 5 minute walk away. The train station is also very close by and this provides great links to tourist areas outside of Milan: it takes under an hour of very comfortable - and air-conditioned - train travel to get to Lake Como. The staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about city transport and events. They all spoke excellent English. I didn't have breakfast (too much to see and do) but I'm sure it was decent. The rooms are a little dated but they are a decent size and have all the extras (mini-bar, tv, hairdryer, etc). They are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom toiletries were lovely, as was the strong flow of water from the shower head. The biggest plus of the hotel is that its just around the corner from one of Milan's best ice-cream/gelato stores, Massimos. An (Italian) ice-cream is an ice-cream is an ice-cream, right? Wrong! This is the BEST ice-cream in the world....Indulge.

Room Tip: The inside rooms are quiet.

This hotel is in a great location close to bars and restaurants and the tram line. Brilliant pizza place across the road if you arrive late at night. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but you shouldn't be spending much time in there when you're in Milan! Breakfast is good and staff helpful in booking taxi to airport etc. Good stay, all we wanted.

Here are my + / - for the hotel

+ Clean, basic rooms, bit flowery
+ Location for public transport good, both tram and metro close by, although local area is not "hopping"
+ Excellent breakfast buffet
+ Free internet
+ 10 minute walk from conference center
+ Staff good and speak English well

On the down side
- Noisy, either out to the street (cars), or towards inside (people smoking and chatting on terrace
- Pillows, big hard and foamy, which made my night uncomfortable (otherwise would get 4 rating)
- Rooms and bathroom are a bit on small side and weirdly positioned toilet in the bathroom
- Parking, there is a garage, but seems to often be full. Another (pay for) garage is opposite, but like all of Milan, parking is a NIGHTMARE

Room Tip: Get a room on a upper floor

Stayed here for 3 nights. Convenient location. Quite easy to get to Milan central with the tram. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Mr. Daniele who was on duty at the reception for most of the time we were there is extremely helpful. Really made our stay completely worthwhile. Fully competent staff.
