Although I am not sure how expensive other hotels are, I would say that it was kinda overpriced, with not so great rooms and no free internet! Also internet prices were RIDICULOUS! 7euros for an hour and 12 for a day/ per room! However, breakfast was nice and relatively close to city centre about 15 min walking. Also A/C was not working properly!

I booked for 3 nights first and for 2 nights later on after my trip to the rest of Italy, but I stayed only for 1 night where the rooms were very small and dirty and the AC did not work. The staff were very rude and did not offer any solution but said that the AC will be fixed in 1 week. I couldn't sleep so I left to another hotel, moreover they refused to refund my other 2 nights though it was refundable before 24 hours and I was canceling before 5 days. Breakfast is not good hot items are cold and not clean. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

We booked idea hotel for our first two nights in milan. After a 26 hour flight it was a relief to finally arrive at 9pm check in was easy and we went straight to bed. The rooms are teeny tiny and there's barely room to move but that didn't really bother us at all and added to the experience! The bed was comfortable, the pillows were ok, the rooms were quiet and dark and we had a good nights sleep both nights. Breakfast was nice with quite a lot choice (mostly cold options) it was busy but we always got a seat straight away. reception was VERY helpful and let us print train tickets which we forgot to at home, they also provided a map and circled the main sites. The duomo was walking distance I think about 20 minutes? For the price compared to a lot of other places we found we were happy with this accommodation.

The positive: it's centrally located; you can walk to the city center and to "il naviglio". Good breakfast (breads, cakes, fruits, yogurt, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, variety of coffee, tea). The negative: Most of the staff in the front desk is unfriendly and unhelpful. They seem to get upset when you "have the nerve" to ask them for information. Also, the rooms, as so many others have stated, are just too small. The closet space for two people is so inadequate you have to keep most of your stuff in your suitcases; they don't even have hooks on the walls to compensate for the lack of space. No a/c when you need it.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on our first visit to Milan, the rooms are quite small and stuffy but clean and reasonably priced. a major downfall for the number of rooms is the rather small breakfast dining area which lead to a queue waiting to sit down for breakfast at peak times which also lead to food running out and not being replenished particularly quickly even though the staff were working hard to keep everything topped up, you felt you had to rush breakfast to let other people have theirs. Location is a 10 to 15 minute walk to main attractions. Overall not bad but not great either.

Last weekend my friends and I visited Milan and stayed in Idea Hotel Milano Corso Genova. We chose it due to suitable location, not far from the city center (15-20 minutes by feet). First we booked room for 4 persons, but when we came to hotel, they changed our booking for 2 rooms per 2 persons, it was a little bit sad, but plus that without any extra money.
Also internet in a hotel wasn't free, and it was a little bit strange as for the hotel in one of the biggest italian town (a lot of hostels have free wi-fi already).
Rooms were clean and rather comfortable.
In the morning there was a queue for breakfast, because there were a lot of people and no free tables, so we waited for 15 minutes, but breakfast was pretty good with different fruits and cakes.

So I will advice this hotel as for couples and families which want not very expensive accommodations not far from Milano center.

We had an early morning flight back to the US and wanted to be close to the Malpensa Express, and this was the perfect choice. It's a 6€ cab ride or 10 minute walk to/from Cadorna station where you can take the ME. Easy to get to from Milano Centrale via subway/walk or cab.

Small rooms, but clean, affordable, and convenient to get to sights and shopping. Billa supermarket not too far away is a nice plus too. You have to pay for wifi, so I was glad I had an intl data plan.

Breakfast buffet was loaded! So much food to eat, probably best to get it early while there is a good selection. Recommended for people that just want a comfortable, affordable and clean room.
