We stayed at Milano Bella B&B in June for two nights at the end of our month long holiday. On arrival Martin showed us to our room and provided us with maps and gave us suggestions on where to eat etc. The apartment is small, but clean with excellent wifi signal and the location was great - close to plenty of places to eat, shopping and tube stations. Only downside to our stay was that Martin did not book a taxi as planned for us, nor did he show up to organise our breakfast as arranged at 730am. If this had been too early, we would have happily organised our own breakfast and our original plan was to catch a taxi to a bus terminal to the airport which would have cost around €15 all up, we ended up paying €90 for the taxi ride to the airport as we were late due to Martin not showing up. Although disappointed at the way our departure turned out, the overall stay was fine.

We loved this cute B&B. We only stayed one night, but we loved the spacious and clean rooms and great location. Martin was so wonderful - he spoke great English and gave us helpful tips on getting to key attractions like the Last Supper and Duomo. He provided a very nice breakfast spread in the morning and called us a taxi which arrived right on time. Definitely a gem!

We were very happy to arrive in Italy and at Milano Bella to be greeted by our host Martin. Martin communicated everything to us that we would need in his B&B. The place consists of two rooms with ensuites and is immaculately clean. We stayed in the blue room which has a little terrace overlooking the internal courtyard and 'The Buttery' which used to process all the milk into butter in the old days. The room was more than large enough for us to leave our two bags open all the time and it is very close to the Metro although we just walked everywhere. There is unlimited WIFI which is available in each room and through a laptop in the lounge area. There are also lots of books and written info about Milano. The bathroom is spotless and the room has double glazed windows and is very quiet. There is a lift to the B&B in the courtyard and it is 20 minutes from the amazingly ornate and wonderful Duomo (do go up to the roof, its exceptionally beautiful and worth the euros) with many beautiful sights on the way including Via della Spiga for a spot of window shopping. The Brera Pinacoteca is close by as well but the most amazing thing for us were the breakfasts which Martin provided for us, fabulous croissants, coffee, yoghurt, fruit and access to the kitchen at all times. He also obtained tickets for us to the Last Supper which we were unable to obtain ourselves from home. We were wonderfully surprised by this work of Leonardo's, it has a really strong presence. The church next door to it, Santa Maria della Grazie is also typically byzantine and has a lovely small cloister. Not much is open on Mondays so be prepared to see the canals, the fort or the Duomo. Anyway, overall we enjoyed Martin and Sara's hospitality and the beautiful meal and photos that we shared, thank you. Hopefully you will come to Australia one day and we can return the favour.

Room Tip: The blue room faces the internal courtyard, is quiet and has a narrow balcony for a quiet afternoon drink, unsure of the other room.

This is a small (2 rooms) B&B conveniently located by Metro and near the train station in Milan. The proprietor is very helpful and friendly. It's in a lovely old building, with lift, and quiet. The place was very clean, en suite shower, and a common sitting room and table. The space is small, - we were a bit worried about disturbing the other guests at breakfast. The breakfast options of breads, drinks, juice, fruit and yogurt were tasty, Fruit was available at any time, and hot water for tea was offered in the later afternoon. A very pleasant option.

We unfortunately only stayed one night in this lovely B&B. Our host, Martin, was extremely helpful and provided some nice touches in the room such as a complementary half bottle of wine, chocolates, chilled water and the use of several tourist guide books and a computer. The rooms were a good size, comfortable, spotless and the location ideal. Martin was so apologetic at not being able to make breakfast for us, as we had to leave at 5:00 a.m. to catch our flight, that he prepared a take-away assortment of breads and fruit the night before. I felt guilty the whole way home at not being able to stay longer!
