“Excellent value in expensive city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

I heartily agree with all the favourable comments made about Martin and B&B Milano. It is ideally situated in a quiet part of the city and easy walking distance to all tourist sights. In a city where accomodation is very expensive, B&B Milano offers excellent value for money.

I've always been kind of a hotel person and it was my first time staying in a B&B, drawn by the excellent reviews on TA. After staying in Martin's B&B, I don't think I can ever go back to a hotel. It deserves all the compliments one would read here.

The location is very central, but tucked in a quiet neighborhood alley with excellent restaurants nearby that are frequented by the locals. The moment you walk in you are welcomed by a charming courtyard, with the lift taking you to the 4th level where the B&B is located.

It is a building with such character, and the rooms are decorated with attention to details, which to me is something very important. The bath is bright and spacious, and I enjoyed waking up in the morning, sipping the freshly brewed coffee in the little patio.

What I enjoyed the most was the conversation over fine Sicilian wine with Martin and the other guest. In fact what I remember about Milan, after 2 weeks on the road in Italy, is that experience talking to the warm and thoughtful Martin and the other fellow traveler.

Will definitely come back to Milan and stay with B&B Milano Bella again.

I had the pleasure of staying at Milano Bella Bed and Breakfast in May 2012 for four nights. Milano Bella B&B was more than I could ever hope for in a bed and breakfast, Martin, the owner, was such a warm host.

Milano Bella is centrally located in the Porta Venezia area, close to various modes to the transportation. As an extra bonus, there is a supermarket located across the street which is closes relatively late on most nights. The area is also filled with a number of restaurants and tons of shopping.

I stayed in the Green Room (ensuite bathroom) and I couldn’t have been more pleased; big, bright, airy, in-room safe, clean, modern, and free Wi-Fi. Martin provides breakfast daily which includes: bread, pastries, various seasonal fruits, sweets, cereals, juices, teas, coffee, and milk. There is also a small equipped kitchen with a refrigerator. Martin is more than happy to help plan your Milano itinerary.

Thank you Martin and Sara! Milano Bella will always be my home while in Milan! I look forward to returning soon. Grazie! Grazie!

Only stayed for one night in Milan and enjoyed our B & B, Martin was very helpful, we wanted to see a football match and he went out of his way to find out how best to get tickets and to the ground, also had good recomendations for eating locally. Breakfast was simple, but well presented, croissants, cereal, bread, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee, and fresh fruit. Nice bathroom and cute little balcony in a convenient area, close to the metro and an easy walk to Duomo, if you like walking. Would stay here again and thought it was good value.

I stayed here for 3 nights in August, very good location 20mins walk to train station and to Duamo and shops, supermarket right next door, few cafe, restaurants, shops in the streets around. The room itself was lovely, good size, nice big shower room, air con was good, mini bar in room also which I didn't expect from a B&B but very handy. Common area is lovely too, area of for breakfast and lots of books and information on local attractions. I went to Venice for the day, train is 2 1/2hrs each way but well worth a quick day trip and booked in advance can be relatively cheap! I would recommend this place to anyone and is great value for money.

Spent three nights at Milano Bella in August. Clean, quiet, superb location, health breakfast, and Martin, the owner very friendly, very helpful. Milan is not an easy city to love, or even endure in August. Thanks to Martin, I was able to learn about the city, and begin to appreciate some of what the city has to offer. Many thanks. When I return to Milan, I will definitely stay at Milano Bella.

We loved staying at B&B Milano Bella! Martin was so nice and accommodating. He even got us last minute tickets to see the Last Supper, which we were so happy about! The breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the room was very clean and spacious. The location was awesome -- we could walk to anything we wanted to see, and it was also near the subway. We even walked from the train station to get there. Overall, it made our visit in Milan very special. We would definitely stay there again! And the balcony outside of the room was very nice for sitting and relaxing with a glass of wine!

Room Tip: We loved the Blue Room.
