Some background: we stayed away from the center to save on the high Milan hotel prices. Thanks to the efficient and very cheap metro this still meant we could get into town pretty rapidly.
This establishment is close to the Gambara metro station and we stumbled across it by chance. The Egyptian owner and his brother provided cheerful service (plus spoke English fluently). Lots of food (we had to decline the offer of even more bread) plus received a free liquor at the end at a reasonable price. Everyone was very content - from us to the Japanese lady and the little boy watching football (sound muted) on TV and the young lovers out for a special occasion.
