Loved the Brera Museum and the art school it sits above. The architecture of the building is incredible and worth it even without the incredible paintings from the 14th - 19th centuries. Worth a visit! After you can head out for shopping or a glass of wine across the way. Lots of markets, too!

We took a cab to the Brera district and strolled the lane-ways and streets enjoying the eclectic mix of high end & variety of other retail, restaurants and cafes, and fortune tellers sitting at their tables encouraging passers by to sit and 'see into their futures'. We ate a lovely meal at Nabucco and generally had a delightful evening in this cute little neighbourhood. If you're in Milano make a visit.

The Brera area was well known as an artist neighbourhood. Now it is full of restaurants and high priced stores. The nostalgia is a little bit lost. The future readers are the only artists that remain

was looking forwards to finding the café culture of the Brera reason but it wasn't easy to find exactly where it was although it might have been closed as it was August. However it was worth visiting for the Brera art gallery (see separate review)

Lots of small, exclusive shops (expensive!!), restaurants, bars and cultural sights--museums, churches, etc. Eat lunch under an umbrella on the pedestrian streets, enjoy a gelato while strolling, or an aperitivo with the locals.
