“Between and two and a three star”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I get tired of hotels that over estimate themselves. This hotel is a decent, clean basic place. It is NOT three and a half or four stars. If it billed itself as a two or a three people would be pleasantly surprised. It is high-priced for a hotel and the place is older and needs some updating. The location is good, but it is not somewhere I'd come back to.

Dear Sir,
we thank you for your comment. The style of the most part of our hotel is classic with high quality materials furnishing. Anyway, if you prefer a more modern style, we suggest you try our new executive floor where you will have the opportunity to stay in 30 to 47 square meter appartments furnished in a luxury modern style.
We hope to have the opportunity to read your opinion about this our new areas and our services soon

Best point for that hotel: it is very close to the center, just few minutes walk to the Duomo. We paid more then for other 4 stars Hotels in Milan, but couldn´t see the extra value. There are only few parking places for guests ... we had to park our car 5 minutes from the hotel on the street. WLAN in the room costs extra, Internet use in the lobby is free. Breakfast was fine: everything you need with some extras. Rooms are clean and calm (double windows).

Great location, right in the heart of Milan. Staff excellent. We arrived at 10.30 in the morning & they allowed us into our room early. Breakfast was good. Only complaint I'd have is no tea & coffee making facilities in our room

The hotel was recommended to me, so I had high expectations, but I was disappointed. The hotel is a bit old, the rooms and the breakfast area are overheated which gives you the sense of lacking oxygen. WiFi is 15 eur per day, which I find incredibly expensive. My room and bathroom were rather small. The location is good though: not too far from the historic centre and rather close to an area with several good restaurants.

A one night stay in February 2013

Location;
10-15 minute walk from Duomo and 5 minute walk from a metro stop. Easy to find

Room;
A lovely modern and clean room with a TV and safe. Unfortunately wi-fi was not included and came at an extra cost.

Bathroom;
Very clean and modern with towel and toiletries provided. Also included a basic hair dryer.

Breakfast;
Moderate buffet on a very nice mezzanine level.

Staff;
Very friendly and spoke good english

Value for money;
I thought it was slightly over-priced but this seemed to be in keeping with Milan pricing.

This hotel place the guest at the center, taking care of your needs. I had a little terrace in my room, could see the top of the Duomo. I received a beautiful welcome. I did not want to leave.
Beautiful breakfast every morning, many delicious items on the menu. Few steps from the
public garden and American Embassy. I did not consider the rooms small based on other
hotels.Management is excellent and I recommend Hotel Cavour

We stayed one night in Milan at Cavour Hotel. The staff were friendly, room very clean and very well presented. Ideal location, within a few minutes walk of a train station (probably 20 minutes walk of the central station), the duomo and main shopping district. Breakfast was a continental buffet with some hot eggs and meat but plenty to keep you going and lovely service. There are plenty of places to eat and lots to do nearby which is a plus.

Wifi advertised is misleading in that you can get it in the rooms at a charge but for those wanting free access there is two computers opposite the reception desk which has it for free for 20minutes per guest.

It is a lovely hotel, but I personally think it is overpriced for the facilities it has. You are paying more for the location which was great and I would recommend it for that reason only otherwise if ever visiting Milan again I would possibly look to stay somewhere cheaper and a little further away.

Dear Sir,
we thank you very much for your comment. We are really happy you appreciated all our effort to let have to our guest a nice experience in his staying in Milan.
About the rate we just would like to point the attention to the fact that, due to the fashon events, this is one of the few very high requested period. By this reason, for your next visit i Milan, before you choose another area, we suggest our rates. Probably you will find really lower rates.
