I would definitely recommend Hotel Una to friends and would stay here again - it formed an integral part to a lovely stay in Milan.

I booked a junior suite and found it ideal for a city break. It was spacious and comfortable and while yes, some of the fittings were dated, it was clean and comfortable and the service was excellent.

Unlike some posters I found that with minimal research the hotel was very easy to find and, as it was a stone's throw from the central rail and metro stations, it linked me up perfectly with the wider city. Also great was the number of really good eateries in the surrounding streets.

Final hint - don't overlook the Una's own bar for relaxing pre/post dinner drinks with complimentary snacks - hugely reasonable.

As other reviews have noted, this hotel is a little hard to find at first and some better signage would help. However when we did find it, and it is quite close to Centrale station, although a fair walk to the centre of Milan, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room, which was a junior suite.
Bathroom a little small however.
Breakfast was as good as we have experienced with a wide variety of hot and cold offers.
Bed and pillows satisfactory. Internet reception fair

Recently stayed at this hotel for four nights. We were so surprised at the value for money. The junior suite was of a very high standard.I was so tempted to steal the soft pillow it was so good.
Staff in reception answered a hundred questions and cheerfully gave us the information we needed. Sometimes checking the Internet to help us. Just around the corner from Statzione Centrale and a quick and easy metro ride to The Duomo it was perfect for checking out all that Milan has to offer. God bless the housekeeping staff who found and turned in a pair of expensive sunglasses after we had checked out. I had to force the lady in reception to take a tip for him/her.
Highly recommend this hotel. Phil & Matthew, Wexford, Ireland.

The first battle of staying at this hotel is trying to find it! The hotel is inconveniently located on a "transit" road where only taxi's or public transportation are allowed. Furthermore it is located down an alley way from the main road and is not visible other then via small signage.
Once you have indeed found it, you will be happy that it is only two blocks away from the Central Station which allows you various forms of transportation around Milan and Italy as a whole.
We were lucky to get an executive floor suite which was extremely spacious and offered a desk area, mini fridge, sofa and large bathroom.
The bed situation was the standard European "king" with two twin beds being pushed together which was problematic while trying to cozy up to my partner and falling down in the middle of the beds!! The beds were also hard as rock.
We stayed at this hotel during Euroluce so the price per night was a whopping 400 euros! So book far in advance keeping in mind the many conventions that take place in the city of Milan.
When booking, ensure you receive "free wifi" with your booking or else the charges are ridiculous. Even though we had booked this option the wifi password (which you obtain at the front desk) is only good for a 24 hour period which is a huge pain if you are staying a week like we did.

Room Tip: We booked this hotel through an online provider and asked for a room upgrade for a $10 charge. When we arrived we had been double upgraded to an executive floor and suite!! (Others have to pay a large upgrade fee upon arriving if they want to be upgraded - so do it online early.)

We were three friends on a fun ten day road trip through France and Italy from UK, and this was one destination we did not pre book till a day before. On our way to Mont Blanc from Florence, driving leisurely through Tuscany over two days, we decided in favor of Milan as a evening/night stopover before hitting the Alps.
This turned out to be a really good decision. Though this is a standard business hotel and while driving into it was a little tough to find, being hidden away in a complex of buildings, it's actually very conveniently located. We were lucky with a corner room on the 12th. floor- room no. 123 with a fantastic view of the city from two large windows on both sides.Room was generous in space, with one double bed and one sofa bed and had all the modern conveniences- kettle/minibar etc. It has all the advantages of a neat, efficient modern hotel, and still manages to retain a smiling reception and some personal touch. In 60 seconds we had a cab at the porch when we requested for one to take us to the Cathedral!
Pros: Spacious comfortable rooms, stay inclusive of a generous breakfast, fairly central location, close to the train station and otherwise- we walked back comfortably from the Duomo area, way past midnight when we couldn’t find a cab!!
Cons: Room air-conditioning could have been better. Or maybe it was just our setting that we could not figure out well.
Overall: Definitely recommended, try for a room on the upper floors and preferably a corner!!

Room Tip: Upper floors and corner room if you could manage!
