We stayed at and held a conference at this hotel.
Staff were excellent.
Facilities were very good.
Rooms are starting to get a little tired, but only in the detail.
I wouldnt take my annual leave here, but as a business traveller i was impressed.

Maybe a ok business hotel for conferences etc, but it is not the place you take your family for a holiday. You do not feel welcome when you enter the reception area. The staff are more interested by them selves than in you as a guest.
My youngest son forgot some things at the hotel. The staff deny to help in the first place.
Keep away from this place if you are on holiday and are looking for a place to stay in Milan.

The hotel is really nice and the service is good. Nice rooms and a good breakfast buffet.
The problem is, that the hotel is too far away from the city centre and meto stations. The trams drive quite close to the hotel, but it's a minus that there are not meto stations close by and that's why I only rate the hotel a 3.
However, it's in a nice area and about 15-20 mins walk away from the beatiful Parco Sempione - which takes you straight into the city centre. If you dont mind being a bit away from the centre, it's definitely a good place to stay.

It was comfortable and had what I needed. Location was a bit north of the centre so you have to take a tram to the Duomo (or go for a long walk).
WiFi is extra charge - I was surprised that for a 4-star hotel and geared to business travelers, WiFi is not free. It was a hit and miss with the receptionists. The gentleman when I checked in was very helpful. But for some reason, my WiFi was out on my 2nd night and the lady at the front wasn't too friendly, at first on the phone when I had questions, then when I had to come down to get the WiFi fixed

Stayed at Una hotel scandinavia on business. Located close to the congress center i.e. at walking distance, which suited my purposes nicely. But if on holiday you might reconsider as this hotel is not centrally located. Easiest way to reach the city centre is by trem line n:o 1.

The hotel itself is a bit worn. The rooms are clean. My bathroom was past its prime. The shower changing between hot and cold by itself. My colleagues had similar problems.

There is no free internet. Tv channels ok with one english movie channel, which was nice.

Breakfast was good. Lots to choose from. Lot of fruits.

If you want a hotel with all the sights on your doorstep, this isn't the hotel for you. However, it is a decent hotel, in a safe area, at a good rate and once you work out the transportation it's not too far away. Booked as a Last Minute 'secret' hotel, we were happy with it as a base for 5 night stay. I'd be happy to stay here again, for business or pleasure.

Rooms accommodate up to 3 adults, a family can share interconnected rooms. Three sharing leaves little space for anything else but is fine as a base, as rooms are average size for a European hotel. There's an in-room safe, mini bar and a choice of pillows should you need it. Rooms and public areas are clean and in good repair. Decor is pretty standard mid-range European hotel (in my experience). The bathroom was very clean, with a bath, American-style shower, basin, toilet and bidet. Lots of towels, reasonable toiletries topped up every 3rd day. Beds were very comfortable, there was air conditioning (very necessary) and windows opened. Buy public transport (tram, bus, metro) single journey tickets at the desk, or at the newsagents just down the street.

Breakfast is a buffet and is a reasonable range of typical European breakfast items (meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereal, fruit, toast, breads, pastries, cakes, some hot dishes) and is provided in the room rate. Staff in the restaurant were helpful and welcoming, even remembering our choice of hot drinks each morning. Staff elsewhere were polite but not particularly friendly.

The hotel seems popular with coach trips of International travellers, though it doesn't seem to affect service at all even at breakfast. There's a street market right outside Saturday and Tuesday. Some reviewers have complained about the noise from this - there is some noise as the market sets up (around 7am) but nothing I thought exceptional. The mess left behind at the end though is dreadful though the city cleaners are on it fast enough.

There's a big supermarket across the street, lots of restaurants, bars, cafes and a newsagents in the surrounding streets. However, August is typically a holiday period for Milan and the neighbourhood was pretty dead whilst we were there.

Transport options: a 20 minute walk down Corso Sempione to the Peace Arch, through the Parc Sempione to the Castello Sforzesco and the main sights beyond: the No1 Tram from Domodossola on Corso Sempione to Cardona station (Malpensa Express), the piazza in front of the castle, the Duomo, Piazza della Scala and other stops, including through to Centrale station (connections to Bergamo airport): there are several bus routes running from Corso Sempione into the centre (eg 37 which runs to Piazza Repubblica).

We found the walk very pleasant given the weather, though the tram (€1.50 per person per journey) was brilliant to reach Centrale or if we were just too tired.

Centrale station offers options for going further afield (we went to Turin for the day) and connections to other major Italian cities as well as into France. There are shops and cafes in the station and some interesting features.

Be wary of: the men with string, sellers of (poor quality) fake label bags. These are, unsurpringly concentrated around the main tourist areas including the castle and around the Duomo. There are also a small number of beggars, though less than I've seen in other major European tourist cities and less persistent.

Do: visit Centrale station, the Peace Arch, the Duomo. Probably don't bother with the Tourist Bus as you can walk most of the main sights comfortably. We missed it but there's a good market, apparently, on a Saturday around the Ticino area (old canal and docks).

The rooms are well air conditioned! The location is great! In the middle of everything 15 minute walk to the main strip and very close to the bars! They have a market on Saturdays right outside the hotel which is well worth it! Located opposite is a supermarket which was very helpful, I would definately recommend this hotel!!
