“I would definitely stay here again!!”

Me and a friend stayed here last minute and it was amazing! The staff dont speak much English but they are very friendly and helpful! The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels! The rooms are well air conditioned! The location is great! In the middle of everything 15 minute walk to the main strip and very close to the bars! They have a market on Saturdays right outside the hotel which is well worth it! Located opposite is a supermarket which was very helpful, I would definately recommend this hotel!! The staff are always around if u need there help to find certain locations!! Would defo stay here again!!!

Hi - we booked our trip through Last Minute secret hotel offer so you are guaranteed a 4* hotel we found it ok with help of Sat Nav but 20 miles from the airport (toll roads). It is on the same road as a busy supermarket so traffic was heavy and parking cramped bumper to bumper. We were luck to get a parking spot right outside the hotel. We checked in for two nights on the Thursday evening and asked about were we parked. The hotel had a car park under the hotel at €19 per night for small cars. But the receptionist said it was fine to park on the road, as long as we could get a space as it was always so busy. The hotel looked lovely and so was our room. The voile was very heavy and we discovered why when we looked out on a demolition sight. The noise started earlier in the morning to late at night... So we regretted booking two nights but we had paid in advance. Friday evening we were out late but rushed back to the Hotel to watch the London Olympic opening ceremony. The staff knew we were British so chatted to us that evening as we got out of the car, they were stood outside the hotel smoking but said nothing about parking. So Saturday morning we got up early to set off to Florence to check out at 7am to discover on Saturday morning they have a market in the street outside the hotel. So at 5am the police towed our car to a impound 0.5 miles from the hotel. We had no telephone numbers, no address where to go???? They were really unhelpful and we were stuck and desperate. Finally another guest told us that we had to go to Central Police Station pay a fine and then get back to impound with release certificate from the police. We spent from 7am till 1pm trying to get our car back and it cost us €220. Not including taxi's back and forth. Just one word from the receptionist and we would have moved the car or paid to park. BUT we felt they were just laughing at us as we didn't pay for parking the first night. That seemed there whole attitude to guests. Just an inconvenience..... Avoid if you don't like building noise, traffic honking, and rude staff.

Dear Sir/Madam,

first of all we would like to thank you for having taken some time to leave comments of your recent stay at UNA Hotel Scandinavia.

Please accept our apologies for what was not on line with your expectation.

The street Market which takes place in front of the Hotel on Tuesdays and Saturdays is one of the best known in Milano; it is really characteristic and it is one of our Structure's deals, Guests can bargain and buy clothes and Italian valuable shoes among others.

Our Staff is always committed in order to give information about it to our Guests and we always expose information regarding parking on the street on these days at the reception desk and inside the elevators. But it seems that something in the information process has failed and therefore we would like to apologize once more for such situation. We have organized a full refreshment training to the involved staff.

The Supermarket which is in front of the Hotel is another point of interest for our Guests, as it gives the opportunity to buy original Italian food at good prices. Our area undertook some improvements and it has been totally reshaped and now it’s more interesting. Finally be sure that the smile that you received upon departure wasn't a sign of mockery, but just greetings. Hoping to be at your service in the next future, we remain.

i was quite surprised by the other bad reviews as i had a great experience with una! the rooms were great and whatever that we need , we could get it from the hotel (eg kettle,bathe salt, manicure set, bath gloves etc) the staff were really helpful and fast as well. But the walls are abit too thin.we happen to stay in the hotel on the night where italy had a match in the euro cup , so we couldnt sleep too well that night due to noise other guest and neighbours were making.

To whom it may concern,
I would like to explain my nightmare due to the incompetent behaviour of hotel's staff in UNA hotel Scandinavia.
I have been travelling around the world and have never been treated as I was in this hotel.
Everything happened on 8th june 2012 . We arrived at the Hotel and everything seemed correct at the beginning until the moment we had supper. We were a group about 42 people and arrived to the dining room at about 20:30.
The waiters served us the first meal (everything was already prepaid). After more than half an hour nobody came to serve us the second meal. Suddenly, the waiters dissapeared. In fact, we started to become nervous and decided to go inside the kitchen and then there arrived our surprise : the kitchen was EMPTY. There was anybody working , any person was there...We noticed that something was really wrong when decided to go to reception and asked to the young lady any explanation about what it was happening, she only knew to tell us that that she was alone in the hotel, that everybody was gone and even the director was not in there.
After a few minutes trying to guess what was happening there appeared 2 men saying that were part of the hotel staff and offered us to pick up a pizza. The indignation was getting higher...The receptionist behaved as if was nothing happened and kept all the time mude.
The hotel director did not answered the phone and we knew later that he had to sleep and had no time to solve our scandal.
The last straw it was that we did not even ate a dessert or some such thing...
We never got any answer, never got any hotel's apologise and nobody became responsable for that. For this reason I would really advice people it's better not to come to this Hotel. It's not a 4 star Hotel, is a third world Hotel.
We just want an explanation because were our holidays and was our money.

Overall the hotel's decor was very nice and clean. Good size room with nice bathroom. Had a great Saturday Market outside the hotel. Which gave us a feel of Italy. I was disappointed by the fact that the rooms did not have any kettle or hot drinks facilities in the room. When I questioned the receptionist they informed me that's reserved for executives suites.

hotel should be rated as 2 stars not 4
internet is over price 25 euros for 1 day! poor wifi coverage and very low speed connection
Parking for 24 euros per day! you can park for free in the street in front of the hotel
air conditioning is not working at and the room is very hot (about 28 degree)
we booked 2 rooms with 2 adults and 2 infants in each one through price line. They refused to give us our rooms and forced us to buy another room to keep the baby in it!! (actually they do this with every one to earn more money)
despite the sign (do not disturb) some one opened our rooms and tried to steal something but found nothing

Unsatisfied

i recommend that you stay away from this hotel because it is a waste of money

first of all we would like to thank you for having taken some time to leave comments of your recent stay at UNA Hotel Scandinavia.

Please accept our apologies for what was not on line with your expectations.

The cost of parking is actually in line with the garages in the area and our guests can of course decide to leave the car in the street in front of the Hotel if they like.

The wifi connection is also in line with the local standards of operation, but thanks to your information, we will work to strenghten it, in order to meet the increased expectations of our foreign customers.

The air conditioning system was working properly in the whole Hotel despite the really hot weather, which we are registering in Milano during this first part of Summer.

Actually we are really sorry for the inconvenience arisen at the moment of your check in, when an extra room has been requested to be puchased, but, as deeply explained, due to local safe and security laws, it is possible to lodge a maximum of 3 people in our rooms, whatsoever age they are.

As we are very committed into the safe and security of our guests and to the related laws, we cannot derogate on this issue in any occasion.

As well, we would like to assure you that, after having checked the electronic lock of the room, no breaking and entering or theft tentative have been done in your rooms during your stay, as the rooms have been opened by our staff only, to be cleaned.


Hoping to be at your service in the next future, we remain.

I spent 3 nights (+ breakfast) in this hotel for my job and appreciated the beds and the breakfast. People are friendly.
Beds are very good.
Deco is quite "old" but it is ok.
