“Perfect position and excellent hotel”

What a perfectly situated Hotel. Close to milan Opera House, The Magnificent Victor Emmanuelle Arcade and the Cathedral of Milan. Breakfast included and the dining room served evening meals. Our room was very comfortable. The huge advantage was being close to major shops as well as tourist attractions.

Stayed here for a long weekend with friends. The hotel is brilliantly located for all the city centre attractions especially the duomo and La scala? Our deluxe room was a good size with a comfortable bed, but decor and fittings were getting tired. Our friends had a modernised room and presumably all rooms will be changed over time. The reception staff and concierges were very helpful and friendly, as was the overworked bar man. Breakfast was the only meal we took in the hotel and we only did that once. Service was brusque, almost hostile, and the food on offer was unappealing. The coffee was undrinkable. For our other days here we went across the road to the Juice Bar for a fresh breakfast and good coffee.

I don't think you'll find a hotel with a much better location than this. It is a short (5-10 minute) walk to most of Milan's tourist attractions and the Metro. The reception staff was numerous and very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are somewhat small but well appointed and furnished. They are quite and allow for a good nights sleep. Everything was very clean. Bath is a good size with modern fixtures, ample hot water and a heated towel rack. The hotel has wifi but it is very spotty and only free in the lobby. Don't depend on the system working.

Breakfast was adequate, a good quality and had just about anything you might want. The wait staff was very professional but not much on the friendly side.

Tips- If you want an alcoholic drink, don't use the hotel bar. It is extremely expensive although the surroundings are very comfortable. There are many bars in the area much less expensive. Luini Panzerotti is a great little sweets and calzones shop just around the corner for a quick and very reasonable meal. It is a favorite of the locals but be warned, there are no tables so you'll have to stand while you eat.

over priced with very small rooms, poor breakfast (for a 4 star hotel), staff averagely kind, terribly expensive bar but excellent location just behind piazza duomo, within walking distance of the financial district and fashion district

I last stayed in this place a few years ago and decided not to stay there again as the rooms were shabby and depressing. But, as often happens in Milan my favorite hotel - the Scala - was fully booked and I ended up here again. I had a recently refurbished room on the 5th floor which was a great improvement on my last experience. Redecorated in a slightly strange Italian boutique chic it features lots of grey and brown, a huge beveled mirror and a large flat-screen TV embedded in a stainless steel plaque. Pleasant enough and light and airy. The bathroom was also clean and efficient.

The check-in staff still consists of an elderly gentleman who seems completely bewildered by the array of cutting-edge technology he is required to master including a printer and a computer. You might need some beta-blockers if you are in a hurry or of an impatient nature. The concierge on the other hand is one of those intimidating characters who despite holding a position of service manages to make you feel like a seven year-old school boy who has been caught stealing an apple by the Headmaster.

There is one hour of free internet, after which you pay - a rather mean touch I thought at these prices.

This hotel has a great location but despite the improvements it still isn't a hotel you want to actively seek to stay in. But it's OK.

This hotel is a minute walk away from the Duomo and about 5 mins walk from the shopping district. Parking is available if you call the hotel in advance. There is free wifi only in the lobby. The rooms are slightly old fashioned but there are smoking rooms available for those who wish to smoke. Its a convenient hotel to stay at in terms of location.

Stayed here for the F1 Grand Prix. Classic Italian hotel. Traditional decor, cosy little bar. Room was very good, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was not that special but reflected in the price.Good location for getting into town by foot.
