We stayed at the Duomo Suites in Milan for two days and it was a nice experience. It is in a very central location (a couple of minutes from the Duomo). It is a 1/2 block from many boutiques and shops, and there is a market just across the street. It is not a hotel and there is no breakfast, however there are a couple of nice cafes around the corner. There is no lobby so you actually have to be in the apartment or out in the street; there is no lobby to sit and relax in. It is a little noisy throughout the day and night since our room faced a small shopping mall and cafes, but it didn't bother us (I was with my 87 year old mother and 15 year old nephew and we all slept through the night). We had a small kitchen with a fridge, a dining table, sofa (bed) and in the bedroom a queen size bed, nice closet, the bathroom was modern but there is no way of taking a shower without getting the floor totally wet. However, they had the best shampoo, conditioner, soap and shower gel ever (Verbena from L'Occitane), it's worth cleaning up the bathroom floor just to use the products! Guiseppe (owner or manager) is the best, he speaks perfect English. He can handle any request you may have and he can recommend some nice restaurants that have reasonable prices. The apartment is a little expensive but you are getting a small apartment, if you get a triple room at a hotel you pay about the same. The only negative is the doorman. He is not the friendliest person in town. You don't really have to deal with him but we made the mistake of arriving at 7 a.m. and had to wait a little before checking in, and he seemed to be bothered (remember there is no lobby so we sat on the stairs). He speaks no English but doesn't even try. I tried speaking Spanish and that didn't help either. But if you don't mind not having a lobby and a not-so-friendly doorman, this is a very nice place to stay.

Central location puts us right in the heart of the city. 2 mins walk to the Duomo and surrounded by mid to high end shopping. We stayed in the Vittorio Suite. Unit was well appointed with large walk in wardrobe, stainless steel kitchen top, comfortable sofa and bed. The aircon/heater unit was a little noisy but we got used to it. Bathroom was very modern, but using the shower would get the entire floor wet because of the style over function minimalistic design. The owner, Guiseppe was one of the nicest hosts - very friendly and ever accommodating. We requested for a taxi at night for the next morning and he gladly fulfilled our request. Being in such a central location, some people may find that it could get a little noisy and some street performers do perform till almost 11 at night, but the noise wasn't unbearable. Earplugs were provided if there was ever a need for them too. All in all a pleasant stay and we will return :)

nice apartment, great location. can be noisy at night, but this is right in the centre of milan. could have done with a breakfast / dining table as this, after all, is an apartment.
other small faults:
no washing-up liquid (to be fair, the housekeeping did the dishes)
no ironing board
no hand soap
bathroom floor gets soaked from shower.

all in all, an enjoyable stay.

No denying that the location is central in a pedestrian only shopping area but unfortunately this does not make the Duomo suites quiet! The windows seem solid enough and yet you can hear people talking in the street below but the worst thing was the saxophone player that played from morning till after 11pm every day and with just two tunes to his repertoire!! He has put me off the saxophone for life!

Why the authorities allow this to go on so late is a mystery as it adds absolutely nothing to the Milan experience, quite the opposite infact.

Earplugs are supplied by Duomo Suites but we didn't have enough to go round for the four of us on the second day so not everyone had a good nights sleep.

PRO's

-Central location
-Clean
-Daily maid service
-Small kitchen
Expresso machine but no capsules supplied so bring/buy your own
-Kettle
-Dinnerware/cutlery for 4
-Fridge and small dishwasher
-Sofa bed more comfortable than the bed (too hard for us)
-Duvets/comforters supplied rather than blankets
-Large walk in closet
-Convenient high-end supermarket just opposite
-Guiseppe - Fantastic English and great restaurant recommendations!

CONs

-Noise
-Rain shower with little pressure
-Hot water for only 2 showers! You have to wait for the water to heat up if more than two
-No toaster
-No microwave
-No sharp knives

Was expecting more I have to admit. Found the studio lacking in charm and warmth - just a few cheap prints on the wall was the sum of the decoration.

Just stayed for one night in one of the lovely flats of Duomo suites and it worth every penny. Even though there were some minor flaws, Guiseppe the owner of Duomo Suites made everything possible and is one of the nicest hosts you can think of. If you are a camera addict like I am it's even better as he knows this field very well! Can just recommend staying there. Usually I am staying in one of fancy hotels close the Duomo but after this experience not anymore. 5-Star service, location and flat for a reasonable price. You can't ask for me!
