Owner description: Visit one of the most attractive historical sites in Milan and travel in the past, present and future of science and technology. Born in 1953, the Museum is one of the largest science and technology museums in Europe. Nestled in the cloisters of a Renaissance monastery, it covers about 50,000 square meters. At the Museum you can discover exhibits and interactive workshops on energy, materials, communication, transport, energy and particle physics. Visit the most important collection in the world of historical models based on Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings. Discover extraordinary objects such as steam trains, the catamaran AC72 Luna Rossa, the brigantine schooner Ebe, and the deck of the Conte Biancamano transatlantic. Come aboard the Enrico Toti submarine to experience how sailors used to live. Explore the new Space area displaying the only Moon fragment visible in Italy. Keep an eye on temporary shows and don’t miss the new exhibitions “#FoodPeople. The exhibition for people eager for innovation” and “Extreme. Searching for particles”. On weekends and public holidays enjoy a full program of activities in interactive workshops, initiatives in the Tinkering Zone and in the Maker Space, guided tours and special events included in the admission ticket.

Please do not miss the opportunity to visit this museum! The fee to visit is 10 euro per adult and for sure you won't regret giving this amount. Here you will see a lot of things that are really unique and you will not see anywhere else. It is not everything about Da Vinci as I thought. It is really big and if you want to see everything you will have to spend a whole day! Unfortunately I didn't have time to see everything! My only suggestion is to have more information about the items !

When you claim to be the "Leonardo Da Vinci" museum, you raise the expectation bar. Leonardo was a visionair, someone you can tell great stories about. None of this happens in this museum. It is a very traditional museum. Compare it with a history museum in the seventies, it is that level. There are some inter actives, but all in Italian. The only nice thing were the models of da Vinci's genius ideas. But even these models were very traditional. You don't need to visit this museum to learn about Leonardo de Vinci: Better buy a book, it tells you way more in a way more inspiring way.

This museum needs clearly new management that understand what the nowadays visitor wants. I am sure Leonardo would be very upset with the lack of imagination in this museum.

Inspiring. I am delighted with the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci and dreamed of visiting this museum. I was in Milan on a business trip and I had free time only in the evening, but I was very lucky because the museum is open until 23-00! The museum has many great inventions of Leonardo recreated by his drawings, as well as interactive screens where you can learn more about his biography, creativity and inventions. I highly recommend a visit. Inspiration guaranteed.

This museum seems more oriented to education purposes than to tourists; however we enjoyed it very much. Da Vinci's drawings and the models built from them were amazing. We also enjoyed the communication area with some of Marconi's equipment. We got a senior discount which was nice. Our only recommendation would be to add a bit more documentation in English.

The museum of science is quite fascinating, my interests included the communications display and Da Vinci’s design for the mechanical. The aero and railway displays were equally interesting. If you are interested in science and machines, this is a must do on your list. The museum is deserving of 4 stars!
