“Excellent hotel and location”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

We chose this hotel following TripAdvisor recommendations. We got a room on 6th floor with a small balcony for two lokking over typical Italian roofs and also the Madonna on the Duomo. Nice room with large sliding doors giving it light. There were two separate doble glazed sliding doors, one interior and one exterior with about 20 cm air space between them. This cancelled all outside noise to non hearable level which is very good. You could here flushing and showering from the neighbours but this is almost normal in any hotel. Lots of towels in the nice bathroom and also bathrobes and slippers. The only complaint we have on the room is that there should be some light in the wardobe as it was difficult to see the keypad on the safety box (which was free of charge). Soft drinks in room was free as well as fruit and biscuits in the lounge all day. Nice gesture.. You could also have your brekfast served in your room without extra charge.
Breakfast was good with the service of making you the omelette or egg dish to your choice.
Very pleasnt, friendly and welcoming staff. Also a special thanks to the breakfast ladies who served with professional and friendly attitude. We would definitively stay here again if coming back to Milan.
Location is perfect - almost on Plaza de Duomo and the shops and restaurants.
Eva o Tommy Henningsson

Room Tip: Three roms on 6th floor has a small balcony where you can have breakfast.

I think the hotel is a bit overrated here at TripAdvisor. I booked it based on the reviews, and I was expecting something excellent but it wasn't that good. The room was a bit expensive (booked on the night of travel at 260 euros for the smallest room). Best parts were that non-alcoholic drinks and very fast wireless were free. Along with some fruits and breakfast in the morning. The staff was nice (Natalie is awesome!). What I didn't like is that I was an hour late of checking out and suddenly they became a bit rude. I got several calls and the cleaning ladies went into the room without knocking! A small warning: elevator is tiny: can fit 4 max I think so beware, large groups! All in all, not bad even though its by far not the cheapest hotel close to Duomo.

The Hotel Sadari has a great location. It is close to everything and has a world famous deli right next door!
The service was excellent and the front desk gave us excellent recomendations for restaurents.
The person in the breakfast room was really pleasant and cooked us bacon and eggs on request. The continental buffet breakfast was also very good.
The room and bathroom was nicely appointed and very clean. It was a perfect retreat from the heat and crowds of the city.
I would be very happy to recomend this hotel to friends.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are good.

Just a minute or so's walk to the Duomo, Hotel Spadari is very stylish, modern and comfortable, with such pleasant and helpful staff. An excellent wide range for breakfast is served in a bright modern area just off the Reception and Lounge area, where free internet access and a printer are available for guests - very useful for checking-in for flights and printing boarding passes etc. The bedrooms are a good size, with very comfortable beds and a lovely large bathroom, with both a bath and separate shower - and the best towels I've had in any hotel I've stayed in! Free soft drinks, replenished daily, in the room mini-bar and free nuts/fruit/biscuits were also available in the lounge area. The room would benefit from a mirror in the bedroom itself, not just in the bathroom, and extra storage space, not just hanging space in the wardrobe, would be useful for underwear, socks, tops etc. So close to the historic centre and all the main attractions of Milan within walking distance. A very good hotel.

We arrived in Milan quite tired after a night flight.
When we entered Hotel SPADARI AL DUOMO the attentive staff welcomed us with wonderful coffee, fresh pastries and bottles of mineral water which gave us energy to start exploring the city.
We were impressed with the beautiful, modern décor of the lobby and the numerous, unusual art objects and paintings.
Our room was spacious, comfortable, very clean and beautifully decorated. It had all the things one can need during a vacation. The mini bar was full with free soft drinks water and sweets, and we could use the internet (WiFi) with no extra charge.
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a couple of steps from Milan's famous duomo, Palazzo Reale, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and La Scala Opera House.
The metro station is very close to the hotel, and there are numerous tram lines around.
Breakfast buffet was very rich and I can still smell the freshly squeezed juices, best (Italian) coffees and wonderful pastries. They also have free fruits and snacks in the lobby all day long.
The service at the Spadari is impeccable: they promised to overwhelm us with kindness, and they did!
They are always there for you with excellent advises, and they are willing to help their guests in every possible way.
I couldn't ask for anything more during my stay in Milan, and I am sure that there will be a next time quite soon at the wonderful Spadari al Duomo hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are special, different from one another and beautiful.

I was recommended this hotel by my brother and sister in law. There is no denying that the location was ideal and the hotel was nicely appointed. The front desk staff were very nice and the breakfast was wonderful. My room, though comfortable and clean, was a noisy echo chamber for all the various plumbing noises from floors above me, and worse seemed to come complete with mosquitoes who feasted on me as I slept. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I would say this was good value for the money I spent.
