Avoid buying tickets from tickitaly.com. They are NOT the official website despite their claim. They charge 23 euro for a 8 euro ticket! The English guide gives no more information on the painting than what you get from any web search or guide book, and the listening only distracts you from a quiet appreciation of the masterpiece on your own.

We paid a lot of extra money for tickets to see The Last Supper
(Cenacola) from the U.S. on a website, just because we weren't sure how to get a better price. You cannot just go into the church to see The Last Supper. you must have a reservation.
It is very thrilling to see it. You have a nice tour guide and get to observe the area for about 10 minutes. it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience, if you love art, and have any religious feelings.

I was suprised on how moved I was viewing the mural. There is alot to take in during your 15 minutes. Try to do some research or be apart of a tour to get the full experience.

Got tickets to see the painitng two months in advance of our time in Milan. So glad we did, as we watched many people asking to get in and told the tickets for the day were sold. A unique experience to see the work. I had read Ross King's book "The Last Supper" before arrivng, and it gave great insight into the work of di Vinci's painting.

My advice: Buy your tickets on line way ahead of your visit, and be there on time.

This was a definite highlight for us. Book your ticket before hand to make sure you can enter and be amazed. A wonderful and almost "holy" experience.
