Four Seasons Hotel Milano
Ranked #19 of 426 Hotels in Milan
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed November 5, 2012

The Four Seasons in Milano delivers expected comfort and service in a fantastic location in the heart of Milan's fashion district. The building is converted with a glorious courtyard that many of the rooms open into. If the weather is right, go ahead and swing the double windows open and you could imagine being in Tuscany. Between the breeze, the view and the sound of bells ringing, and you will have a wonderful nights rest.

There is a warm and inviting lobby to meet and enjoy a drink in. The downstairs restaurant is open on to the courtyard, and is an island of respite in the city. The service is Four Seasons attentive. Rooms are comfortable and large, with a nice closet and storage. Features are modern and easy to use.

If your business or pleasure brings you to Milan, this hotel covers all of the basic, and then some.

Room Tip: A room on the courtyard is a real plus.

Super hotel fabulously located in the middle of Milan's shopping district.
Friendly helpful staff throughout.
AmaZing new spa area with fabulous pool, happy to allow my 3 year old to swim even though she was technically too young.
Great breakfast.
Thoroughly professional and excellent hotel, staffed by people who are all at the top of their game.

Upon our arrivla we were given an upgrade to a most beautiful and comfortable room! Just what we needed after a long flight! You cannot go wrong with this hotel. Great location. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back. :-)

I have always wanted to stay at the 4S Milan. It did not disappoint me. From.the moment we arrived it was a luxurious experience. Blame the debt crisi, but Milan has never been so friendly. We checked in early, our room was not ready. The concierge took our luggage to the newly renovated spa, where we were given a double spa room to shower and relax. The rooms are not large, but every detail is considered. The spa is a place you want to move in to. Loved it.

Room Tip: Try to get one facing the courtyard.

My wife and I have just returned this evening from a relaxing, but very expensive weekend in Milan, although that was expected knowing the areas exclusivity.
This was a special anniversary (our 20th), and having stayed at many Four Seasons Hotels worldwide were excited about the time ahead. We were pleased on arrival with the hotels fantastic location, easy walking distance to the Duomo, beautiful cobbled streets and exceptional designer shops, just ensure you have plenty of money to burn, we found a pair of shoes priced at €18,000 and plenty of items with POA!!
Our room was on the top floor (3rd), but we didn't get a view, we overlooked the car park entrance and small inner courtyard, slightly disappointing. Great service as usual, clean, ok food but too pricey, ave meal with a bottle of wine €200 and that's not in the fine dining restaurant, €18 for a small bag of nuts from the minibar. The hotels newly opened spa was closed due to a fire and now not due to reopen until March, we were not advised of this prior to arrival. Take the train to Lake Como, well worth the 40min train journey, simply breathtaking!!! Overall 7 out of 10, wouldn't rush back.

We arrived at the hotel early Saturday after a flight from Hong Kong. They were unable to give us a room straight away as they were full, but went out of their way to be accommodating. We came back around 11 and a suite had become available, but needed cleaning so they gave scomolimentary cappuccinos in the bar area, and then checked us into a wonderful suite (probably a one level upgrade from the junior suite we had booked). During our stay all the service we received we first class and we wished that we were staying more than one night.

Four seasons is one of those brands that should be synonymous of excellent service, quality, attention to details, luxury. Well, the milanese one is not really the best one to reflect the values of the chain.
The ex monastery is well located and the garden could be a good starting point for a breakfast or a lunch, but the service is so poor that is better to avoid.
Rooms are without a soul. Yes, They have good linen, but the stencil, the forniture, the pictures are so 'everyone' that you think to be at an Hilton rather than fourseasons.
La prairie amenities in the bathroom are good...if you are lucky enough They change them when finished!
Avoid.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Right in the heart of Milan's most beautiful inner city quarter, the Four Seasons Hotel Milano is just steps from Milan’s famed designer boutiques and magnificent Duomo cathedral. An easy chic feel presides of the hotel's lobby and Il Foyer’s intimate bar and lounge, serving cocktails created by the bar's resident Mixologist. The scene at Il Foyer is framed by granite pillars that once supported the church of a 15th century convent, and the space flows into restaurant La Veranda, specialising in unique award-winning Italian cuisine as well as international delicacies. Tables in the restaurant look onto a meditative view of an exquisite cloistered courtyard. The Hotel offers guests other surprising experiences from a seasonal Chocolate Room created entirely in chocolate to a theme; a Chef’s Table, traditional Milanese aperitivo and cooking classes inside the restaurant’s fabled kitchen, and one of the city’s most creative banquet catering teams. Fragments of frescoes, a beautiful emblem of the building’s sanctified past, create a meditative backdrop for the Hotel's relaxed elegant interiors interspersed with classic architectural flourishes. The Hotel’s 118 rooms and suites are appointed with distinguished diverse designs and offer views over the property’s tranquil manicured inner courtyards, the exclusive street of Via Gesù and typical neoclassical Milanese rooftops or neighbouring quiet private gardens. The Hotel’s newly designed Spa, a warm and tranquil space, fluidly constructed by Patricia Urquoila within the building’s historical architecture offers therapeutic treatments using the finest skincare products as well as a Turkish bath, swimming pool, one-of-a-kind Spa Suite and a 24-hour Fitness Centre. ... more   less
