We were for a couble of days to milano and our last night decided to go to Manhattan, because of the very positive reviews on Tr.Advisor.
Nobody on this restaurant speaks english, so we tried to communicate with gestures... We ordered the ''T-bone'' steak, and tried with every possible way to ask for a ''well done''. After about an hour, a waitress came with the steak, and with suprise we realizes that it was almost raw... You could see the steak inside a pool of blood... They took it back, and after 10 minutes brought a new one that it was better (allthough it was more like a medium rather than a well done).
Now, regarding the prices, considering the service and the quality of food, are very high... For a t-bone steak for tho persons, french fries, salami  variaty for starter, two glaces of red wine, and a bottle of water we paid 72 euro... Although the worst thing about this restaurant is the service, especially if don't speak italian...

Sometimes you have the pleasure to be served by a professional waiter who just gets everything right. Giovanni at Manhatten is one of these. He was pleasant, efficient and knowledgable. While we were there he was speaking English to us, Spanish to the table next to us as well as Italian to the locals. Wonderful to watch.

However, there is more to Manhatten than just the service. The food is terrific too. The fishermans soup was packed with seafood and delicious. The T-bone for 2 was huge and cooked perfectly. They also accommodated the kids too with kid friendly dishes not on the menu.

We had a great experience at Manhatten and highly recommend it.

Even it's quite crowded, we appreciated the very good service and especially the T-bone steak!
Very good value for money so I will consider going to Manhattan again.

We were in Milan for only a couple of nights on a family holiday and was looking for a decent looking resto close to our hotel. We decided to give the Manhattan a try. It certainly didn't disappoint. Our waiter, Giovanni, was the most friendly and attentive we'd ever come across, making suggestions and explaining the type of cuisine, which is apparently of Sardinian origin, hence the focus on seafood. And it was great seafood too!

To start, they offered a pizza base that's cooked until it rises into a huge ball - just airy inside - and drizzled with olive oil. My son asked for a ham and pineapple pizza, not on the menu but they gladly accommodated it. It was the largest pizza we'd ever seen! My daughter had the tradtional spaghetti bolegnaise. My husband chose mixed seafood with egg pasta. He raved about how fresh the pasta and seafood was. And I had grilled bream with eggplant and zuchini, which was very tasty. We were so full after such generous portions, we passed on the sweets. But instead we were offered fresh cherries for the kids and limocello for the adults. A big bowl of Italian biscuits also came out!

We had received such good food and service, we returned the next evening. We ordered different dishes then, including lobster pasta, and fish and seafood baked in pizza dough. It was all very delicious, with similarly generous portions.

A lovely and unpretentious restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend!
