The palace is a museum, you can have access to it vising an exhibition. Usually there are different exhibitions at the same time, so it is easy to find an interesting one.
The most beautiful room is “Sala delle Cariatidi”, it has not been refurbished after the second world war in memory of it. The atmosphere is very peculiar, it is a magic place. Absolutely to visit.

We visited the Palazzo Reale to check out the Andy Warhol exhibit, and it was excellent. We were provided with an audio guide, which provided interesting information about some of the pieces inside. The only thing i would change was the 20 minute film that was only shown Italian. Subtitles would have been great for us foreigners. Overall, a beautiful building with a lot of great art exhibits. It's a shame we only had time to see one!

Palazzo Reale is a wonderful building, let alone the fact that they organise fantastic exhibitions there. This one is a real winner with a very interesting selection of pictures lent by the Musée Baubourg in Paris. If you go to the museum on a weekday there are usually not very many people and you can really see the pictures well. Milan is known more for its shopping and its music than its art, so go visit the art!

The Palazzo Reale is a beautiful and very big building. We only went to one exhibit (Rodin), and although well done, you can see that the walls needed some repairs. Which is a pity, since some of the rooms before the exhibit had been done up, and were on their own quite admirable.

The Rodin exhibit, like other ones, is not expensive and there are electronic tour guides in different languages available.

Tip: If you see a large queue of people for the exhibit you want to see, tell the staff you are going to one of the other exhibits. You will eventually end up at the same cashier desk for all exhibits. This way you avoid the queue.

This should more aptly be called "The Netter Collection", but of course nobody knows who Netter is.... Fascinating portrayal of the times and worth the 13euro in my opinion.

I think it took me 90 minutes-ish (?) to go through the audio at a leisurely pace... hmmm.... sorry, I can't remember as I wasn't timing it and it really was enjoyable.
