“Constantine at the Palace”
Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

We went to see the Constantine exhibition, and were impressed by the scale and range of exhibits. There was no problem with our lack of Italian as end exhibition included audio guides ( though we had to ask for them). The story is pretty well told, and while it says all a bit serious for our tired minds, as we'd spent a long time in the duomo earlier, it would be hard to come away without learning something new. You'd need a good while to get through the whole thing.

“Picasso Exhibition - Visited 08 January 2013”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

The exhibition is extended to 27 January 2013! What an amazing experience! Entrance is 9 € - I visited on 08 January 2013 and there was no queue. Book on the exhibition is only available in Italian and cost 30€. Very easy to reach Palazzo Reale, Duomo metro stop and Palazzo Reale are just right of the Duomo. Very clean rest room - welcoming after a day's sightseeing in Milan!

One of the things to not loose of Milan is one Real Palace visit.
since 2010 it is now available for exhibition, this allows to have a chance to enter in and not just to see it from Duomo Place.
In this period there is the Picasso exhibition, but all year along there different things.
from the different rooms one of the most famous is "LE CARIATIDI" room, rebuilt in the 50's after the secondo world war.
then if you are in Milan don't miss it

“Picasso Exhibition”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

I was in Milan for business and had few hours available, so I went to visit "Picasso" at Palazzo Reale. Being part of the Paris "Picasso Museum" collection now on tour, this exhibition is a complete and well displayed retrospective of the Spanish turned French artist. It displays an impressive range of artworks, from the early years to the Seventies, including many sculptures of his post WW2 production. Get the audio guide to have more detailed historical and artistic descriptions. I recommend the visit to all contemporary art lovers

“Picasso exhibition-See it before it closes!”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Paris' loss is Milan's gain. The Picasso museum in Paris is being renovated, so some of its collection is on tour. Had a chance to spend a rainy evening perusing the show at the Palazzo Reale. Interesting choice of venue for the show. The first few rooms contain biographical and historical information on Picasso and this and a prior exhibition. The juxtaposition of the building and the art was very interesting, particularly in the early rooms that were older and more classical in style than rooms later in the show.

I was impressed by the breadth of early works that the show contained. It provided a nice foundation for the rest of the show and featured more work from his early periods than one normally sees in an exhibition. Conversely, I thought the show was a little light on the output from his later life.

I found this exhibition to be superior to the collection at the Picasso museum in Barcelona.
