There was a good feeling from the owner and the regulars here. Plenty of charm in the quirky decor, for what that's worth. I went at lunch; the buffet-style veggies were fabulous, and my pasta was excellent as well.

What a place. It was this little wonderful and charming restaurant with nice interior. But that wasn't the best thing about it. The service was excellent. You could sense the passion and pride they have with their food there immediately. I believe those are traits that any good restaurant should have.

The food was excellent. Their ingredients seemed of quality, and the staff (although with limited english) conveyed to us their recommendations which were not disappointing at all. The highlight of the night was their lesso (a north italian beef stew - comfort food) which was excellent and came with various dippings, from salsa, pickels, mustard to various flavoured ice creams (yes, i think I was supposed to use the ice cream as dippings, minding the language barrier). But they were amazing. Be forewarned, the lesso serving is huge! Their prosciutto with some sort of (not really sour) sauerkraut was also very good.

The staff also recommended a couple of dessert cakes which we shared. One was a millefeuile and the other, I'm not too sure. Anyways, both are also excellent.

Highly recommended, definitely one of the best experience I've had after almost two weeks travelling in Italy.

Went here with three friends for a dinner in September. The owner was waiting alone and didn't speak English but that made no difference. The food was excellent and the waiter super friendly. I definitely recommend this place. Take the antipasti!

On a Thursday evening in May, business was slow, but the welcome from the proprietor of this family business was warm, and his enthusiasm for his food and wine evident. It is slighty difficult to find, but persevere - both the atmosphere and the cooking make it well worthwhile. The speciality is lesso, but there is plenty else. The staff eschew the fake bonhomie often dealt out to tourists in Italy, but they are courteous, interested and eager to explain things. The prices are very fair by Milan standards.

Trip Advisor has been our best friend on this 8 week trip to Europe and didn't let us down again. Milan is a huge city and not overly set up for tourism. It's a business centre and oozes culture and fashion.
Most of the tourist haunts appear to be around the central station and the biggest names in the fashion industry are everywhere; watch your budget in this city!
Lesso is a retreat to the family cooking style of old Milan. Staffed by a family and set up just off the main street of Corso Buenos Aires, you are made very welcome in an inspiring atmosphere.
We got there early for the 'happy hour' when you can have a large glass of wine with your choice of meats, cheeses, breads and vegetables from a long wooden buffet table. As we were the only ones there, we were served at the table so it was easy, filling and cheap at EU7 per person.
