Our last meal in Italy was truly one of the best. Another great recommendation by the Westin Palace concierge! From the beginning to the end of the meal all was 5 star. The patrons appeared to be mostly Italian regulars with the waiters greeting people by name and joking and making the atmosphere very convivial. It is a bustling restaurant but they do not hurry you. The decoration is warm and cozy and nicely lit. The food was outstanding. A just in season artichoke salad that was stunning as was the Veal Milanese, perfectly cooked and topped with arugula (i opted for no tomatoes) with others getting pasta and beef sizzling on the plate. We thought it was undercooked but the plate was red hot and waiter explained that it would be perfectly cooked momentarily from the heat of the plate. He was absolutely spot on, like magic!
Desserts shared at the end. and the they brought jars of candy, licorice, etc. to share. How fun! We will be back here for sure. Don't miss it!

The place is cute and quaint. There were few tables empty throughout our 2 1/2 hour dinner. We started with a vodka tonic and Mike had a gin and tonic. Both were served in beautiful stemware. For our first course we had the house specialty of stuffed squash blossom, burratta and shaved ham. The next course we shared the osobucco that was so tender and decision. The bone marrow with the saffron risotto was incredible. Then we shared the spaghetti with lobster sauce which had large pieces of lobster meat. Then we enjoyed our Barolo dei Marchesi di Barolo throughout the meal. How do we top this? Oh yea, they brought us a small tiramisu to share and coffee. Luckily we had walked almost eight miles during the day and had little else to eat so it wasn’t so bad.

Another great recommendation from the Park Hyatt. I wasn't very well that evening but my simple pasta was divine and my friend's dinner was excellent. What made it stand out was how friendly everyone was and how much fun we had. We loved it.

We were suggested this restaurant not only for the location, tradition and atmosphere but also one of their specialities - a huge, thin and perfectly cooked 'cotoletta alla milanese'. Which was really good, still the starter of insalata di funghi porcini, currently in season, was an excellent choice and pure pleasure for the mouth.
Wine choice is good and the red we had was too.
May be a bit expensive but all in all worth a visit for sure.
