The hotel seems old, but comfortable. When we checked in, it seemed like we were the only guests there, but in the morning the (complimentary) breakfast room was bustling! It was all handled by 1 overworked waiter, so the eggs never got replenished, but there were plenty of cakes & biscuits to munch on.
The location is a drab part of town, near a highway, but there is a train station 10 mins walk away.
If you want to see "The Last Supper" you need to make a booking about 2 weeks earlier or like us, u'll miss it.

Sunflower hotel is located quite far out from the main city area and you have to walk a bit to reach the metro station. The breakfast at the hotel was good. The staff were helpful. The rooms were decen.

The hotel is conveniently close to the Bovisa train station and bus/tram lines with fast connections to the city centre. The spacious room is more than I would expect from such a reasonably priced hotel. Our safety box was defective - one of the 2 girls on duty at the reception immediately came up and solved the problem, and both were very informed on restaurants and transportation options in the area.

The hotel itself was although dated, lovely and clean and pleasant enough. Everything we needed to get our heads down ready for sight seeing. Breakfast was good and well stocked, staff were friendly etc.. No complaints about the hotel. The area the hotel appears to have just been plonked in on the other hand!!! Graffiti everywhere, dirty deserted streets accept for groups congregated on street corners,a sex shop on the corner & open vending machines across the road at the garage! Security shutters and bars on every window...I could go on. I never would of felt safe to even venture out the hotel if I'd been travelling with just female companions, or my children, luckily I was with my husband and friends. The contrast between the hotels area and centrale Milan is shocking. Will visit Milan again but will stay more central and in a nicer area.

This was a nice clean hotel with an outstanding staff but is dated and not what we expect from a 4 star hotel. There were several nice touches like marble bathrooms. We had 3 in our room and were very comfortable. We had the bellman adjust the temperature when we arrived so it was not stuffy. The breakfast was very good. It was the typical Italian breakfast with lots of sweet breads, cake, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, cold cuts and cheese, etc. The staff was especially helpful to me in getting our flight reservations confirmed and calling a taxi. The internet is free for the first 30 min or so. Our only reservation is the area. Our taxi driver lives in the neighborhood and said it is fine in the day but warned us to not walk alone at night. We were just spending the night before our flight so that was not a problem. The desk clerk told us about a good restaurant across the street but we were tired and decided to skip dinner and enjoy the breakfast. We would stay there again when in Milan.

This hotel felt a little deserted. Whenever my husband and I would leave our room or return to the hotel, there were never any guests in sight!! Even though there were guests (we were shocked at how many during breakfast). Staff pleasant enough. Rooms were dated and felt slightly stuffy, but at least was clean, wifi worked great in our room and was a good size. With full length mirror. The area hotel situated in not the prettiest, but we never felt like our safety at risk. Metro station bravista close by, roughly 10-15minutes walk (normal pace).
If I really had to, i would stay here again, but to be honest if I were to go back to Milan I'd look elsewhere.
