Salad was undressed tough lettuce. Though we were early diners, the specials were not available. The pasta was blah and the main course, at hefty prices, was a small portion of under seasoned chicken with a side of potato chips Has this place changed owners?

We had an okay dinner at Zucca e Melone. The menu is somewhat limited. The starters had no appeal so we shared a very good risotto with asparagus and scallops (with roe). A amuse bouse of shaved young Parmesan cheese was good but a bit odd. Our mains were unremarkable. My wife had pork shanks in beer with juniper berries. I had pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. Both were served with pedestrian potato chips. An okay bottle of Lombardia red was good. Overall 63 E made it a fair price for a decent meal – but that’s all. Nothing special. No imagination and better choices for the money nearby.

We stayed a lot of time in this warm recently open restaurant in Milano. Location is a little out af main avenues, but the level of the restaurant is firmly above average Level in Milano. Cuisine is tipically the territory of Lombardy and very traditional one. Materials are very fine, especially cheeses and meat. Service is very warm and customer-oriented. Desserts are top of category -

The restaurant gives the feel of a small family run place. The menu is limited but the food of a good quality and a decent wine list. The restaurant has a no-frills but inviting air about it. The service is efficient and friendly.
