“EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATION & LOCATION”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2010

Stayed at the Una Maison for three nights. Booked the hotel on the strength of previous reviews and the hotel web site. We were not disappointed. Excellent location - could not be better. Very welcoming and helpful staff. The room was perfect, particularly large bathroom by European standards. We were not distrubed by any noise from within the hotel (we were on the third floor) or from outside. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. We knew before we booked that the hotel does not have a bar/restaurant so not a problem for us. So many eateries close by it did not matter.
Really liked this small intimate hotel. Would recommend it and would stay there again.

We stayed at Una Maison Milano for 2 nights at the end of a 3 week trip around Northern Italy. We wanted somewhere central and this hotel could not be more perfect - it is basically a 3 minute walk from the Duomo! Amazing location however, we had a hire car and given the complicated one way systems of Milan, we spent two hours trying to find the hotel and in the end we parked the car and transferred our suitcases to a taxi!

We had booked a superior room and on arrival discovered that we had been upgraded to a suite free of charge! The suite was lovely with a living area, balcony, bedroom and bathroom - blinds were automated, hi-tech fridge and beautiful toiletries - a very well appointed, clean room.

The staff were fantastic - they couldn't do enough for you! They were knowledgable and would google for information/ maps and make dinner reservations for you at your request.

It is worth noting that the hotel does not have a dining room and if you wish to have breakfast you can pay 30 euros per person for breakfast to be brought to your room or leave the hotel to find a cafe etc... On a saturday, this poses no significant problem as many cafes are open on a saturday but on a sunday, all the shops are closed and we struggled to find anywhere decent in the local area and ended up walking to the California Bakery for a slap up brekkie (booking is essential - we got lucky!).

So overall a great experience and a perfect for wondering around Milan!

We had prepaid what we thought was a lot of money and it was debited off our credit card when we booked - 6 months before we travelled so were very apprehensive about staying at this hotel .
Before we travelled we tried to see the hotel on google streetview and couldn'"t see the hotel .

Upon arrival we had a very pleasant surprise. We walked thru the entrance and were welcomed by very friendly staff who expedited our check in very quickly, offered us a drink etc etc .

Beautiful Bathroom , excellent location , luxurious furnishings only drawback was limited clothes hanging space .

No restaurant , coffee shop etc but if you explore the nearby streets you will find plenty of food offerings.

Nice, new Hotel in the heart of Milan, just a few steps from the dome.
Rooms all in white, leather bed, spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub. Breakfast is served to the room for € 15 / Person and really lovely!
Staff friendly, would go there again for sure.

Stayed here for weekend excursion with my daughter, who is studying in France. Found it on Trip Advisor, and was not disappointed with the decision. Used this hotel as base to visit high points of Milan, shop, and to take a day trip to Lake Margiore by train. The room was modern looking (as are most in Milan, but this hotel still had a distinctly European feel), clean, and very comfortable, with nice linen, plush towels, bathrobes for two, sitting area, two flat screen TVs. Tub and shower were great, with plenty of hot water when needed. Bed mattress was very comfortable, with good support. The staff really made this a special trip, with accurate and helpful directions and instructions. They couldn't have been more supportive, even offering to go for us to buy train tickets at nearby travel agency (the tickets to Lake Maggiore we needed couldn't be reserved online). Hotel location is just perfect, being a block from the Piazza del Duomo, but just far enough away to be quiet. Plenty of nearby restaurants. The staff recommended even nicer restaurant for a special dinner, and arranged cab ride for that. You are just steps away from the metro, and a block and a half from where the taxi cabs line up (hotel will call them to the door if you need it). This part of Milan is very walkable. You are an easy walk to the Sforza Castle, La Scala Opera House, the Da Vinci statue, The Last Supper fresco, and the high end shopping district. It was hard for me to judge from maps before our visit how close all these areas really are to each other. Hotel is perfect central location where you can drop things off, or refresh yourself for another outing. Internet is not free, but they offer two options. For us, the better choice was to buy given number of hours, regardless of when we used them (vs 24 hours at a time, whether you use it or not, the clock starts with your first use and ends 24 hrs later). We felt very safe in this location at all times. I have traveled most of the world, and prefer high end accommodations. I would stay here again on a return trip.

Milan was the first stop on our trip to Italy. Una Maison was a fantastic Hotel in a great location right in the center of Milan. Francesco checked us in and really made us feel welcome. He gave us some great recommendations on things to do and see. We wanted to go to La Scala, which is a famous Opera house close by but I wasn't sure where to go to purchase tickets. He took time out to personally walk us through the subway station to the ticket center. Little things like that really made our trip Perfect! The second night we went to a night club called Just Cavali that he recommended as well. We had so much fun in Milan...... Thanks Francesco!!!
