Supremely comfortable hotel.
Very large room.
Fantastic bed. Huge bathroom with separate bath and shower.
Extremely well presented, and incredibly comfortable.
A dream!!

Room service breakfast was wonderful. Slightly overpriced at 30 euros.
Presented incredibly well though. Really enjoyed it.
But it's also easy to go out and have breakfast out in a cafe'.
Had breakfast at Biffi in the Galleria one day, it was fine and fun. 15 Euros.

Front desk was efficient, but not amazing yet. Nothing wrong, but could definitely improve and aim for perfection. Felt slightly distracted most times.

Location is amazing. Walked everywhere.
Kept on popping out, and coming back in to drop things, change, brush my teeth.
Fantastic!! Made everything easy and light.

One BIG drawback!!!!
My room was next to the service passage, and two of the three windows faced the service corridor. Lot's of doors banging, and loud talk. And an overspilling rubbish bin right outside the wardrobe french window. Terrible!!!!!
Basically when sitting on the toilet I could see the floor waitresses walking in and out.
And they could see me.
That is unbelievable!!!!
Hope the management sorts this out very quickly.

There is no Wi-Fi.
Really should have it, and free.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel in an amazing location right near the Duomo. In many cities, we usually want to stay a little outside the center since many sights/attractions are spread out. Not so in Milan, where the most significant sights are within walking distance from the center -- thus we were happy to find this very new hotel in the center of it all. The rooms were spacious and open, and the bathrooms were fantastic -- lots of space for all your belongings and room for two to spread out -- very unusual in europe.

You can tell the hotel is new, not just because everything is in really good shape, but because the staff is overeager and trying to please. This can make every request feel somewhat "uncomfortable" since 3 people always seem to jump in to help you, making it feel somewhat disjointed. This newness is not polished, which sort of bothers me, and I can't give it a 5 for that reason...on the other hand, I'd rather have that, than no service at all. Most of the staff was incredible and professional. Only the night people seemed to have no idea how to help you with evening requests, such as extra towels or a missing bathrobe, things you might not discover are missing until after a long day out and about. While they tried to be helpful, they really seemed more like night watchmen who didn't really know how the hotel functioned. This, of course, can be fixed.

The rooms are a nice size, and anything you ask for is accommodated. For instance, it was nice to be offered something to drink upon arrival, without some ridiculous charge, it made us feel welcome after long travels. Also, the amenities in the rooms are very good -- particularly the bath accessories -- everything you needed and then some, including bath salts, shaving kits, nail kits, and wonderful lotions and soaps. Really top notch in terms of those types of amenities. Other than wanting more towels (something I just love to have), every time I needed something, it was right there waiting for me, showing great thought for the weary traveller.

We also got some nice restaurant recommendations from some of the staff -- for restaurants that were NOT in the city center. We asked for restaurants in more residential, local areas and were impressed with the warm, cozy, inviting places with terrific food to which we were sent. (of course, we chose which staff to ask, as there are a few who only recommended restaurants in the city center.)

Our other real disappointment with the hotel was the ridiculous internet daily rate. We find this is common in europe -- either it's complimentary or ridiculously expensive -- and it doesn't seem to coincide with how expensive the hotel is. But Una Maison is quite reasonable as far as Milan goes, and the internet was a business expensive anyway -- but a warning to anyone who wants to just sign on -- way too expensive. i hope they adjust this, as it is a real put-off.

We'd stay here again, and assume that many of these bumps are the opening things that need some caretaking. It's a great hotel with great staff and a terrific location.

Hotel has the best locatiion ever, there are some minuses for which i didnt give 4 stars. You can see its definetaly a new hotel and some things could be improved in order to make it a real 4 stars hotel.
-positives: Location, location, location!!! its litterally 20 meters from Duomo metro station, 30 meters from the Duomo piazza, it must be the closer hotel to it.
My room (a standard one) was very spacious, as well as the bathroom. It was bright, clean, had double double windows which means you could not hear ANY noise from outside, even though the street was really noisy. No sound at all, that was very nice.
In the bathroom a shower AND a bath. I complained once about something and had a fruits and chocolate platter delivered to my room, so you can see they're making an effort to make the guest satisfied.
-negatives: ok, its clearly a hotel that needs some litlle improvments, staff was really nice but didnt think much about the details, which in my opinions make the difference. The second day of my arrival i came to my room by the end of the afternoon to see it had been cleaned but that my cigarettes ashes and trash had been put in a plate with old fruits and left there. I was told that's because the cleaning women were late and had probably not finished with my room..um at almost 6 pm? in a 22 rooms hotel? ok then they probably need to hire more people!
some contradictions, one told me room service was 10 euros another one just what you order.
room service: apparently you need to pay 10 euros just to order something, so lets say you order a tea for 3 euros you pay 13 euros. its ridiculous i think. for breakfast, no choice its 25 euros for the room service, whatever you take.
No restaurant, no bar. They higlight the fact that they serve little things to eat all day long, but well, its tiny tiny, and they put most of the stuff in front on reception, so it makes you feel kind of guilty and/or ashamed to take anything (its under a glass thing as well so you need to take it up, take something and then put it back). There is no sort of buffet like advertised, so youd better go around and have a nice and cheaper breakfast.
internet: 3 euros for half an hour, its ok compared to other hotels but today lots offer it for free. Internet is provided in a tiny tiny computer, i think its called a notebook, so you can barely see what you are reading, its really just for a quick check but definately not to surf and search for things, youd rather go to an internet cafe or bring your laptot. As well when you want to use the internet, you need to wait that the computer gets on, to log in, put your logins and password and then you can finally surf! i think they should put a computer in the lobby with a proper screen.
tv: mostly italian channels, there are only 2 english channels, one being bbc world the other one a film channel but the 2 i saw were horror films...2 french channels, information channels, didnt see any dvd player or whatsoever, no pay tv.
-butler: they advertise a butler service but lol, i never saw my "private assistant", i worked in a hotel where we had a butler service, they do NOT have one. Actually the "butler" was the receptionnist, who just took me to the room. A proper butler should explain you about the room (how to make the temperature work, tv, where the hair dryer is, the safe, etc). that was not the case, so its a kind of fake ad on their website.
im working in the luxury hospitality industry, so i guess im less tolerant about those details. for example, the satisfaction questionnary was the one from una cusani as well as the room service menu (alcohol only). Come on, in a year they had no time to make their personnalized documents?! for a 4 stars hotel its a little bit strange. Also little details such as the stuffs to put the hot or cold water on in the bath were not straight, i mean not properly fixed and you could move them, in the welcome letter i received, the id card had tipex on it (they "erased" the name that was on it, proably an employee not working there anymore but again they could then give another card!! that was not very elegant). Little marks on the walls, my ahstray left full in my room when someone brought tea, old almost rotten fruits left for 2 days in the plate etc those little things are the details that make una maison milano a little 4 stars but not a true one.
When they will improved those things and think about those details, it will truly be a top notch hotel in milano!
In the end i recommend this hotel, staff was nice, rooms are big, location is the best, and i recommend you book a package with flight as its much less expensive - it was cheaper to pay the hotel + flight that just the hotel...at the end it cost me something like 160-170 euros per night, on the website the best price was around 230 euros with a 15% discount! but anyway if you want to stay in a nice hotel, with the best location go for it!

Very new hotel opened in late 2009. Location is so close to the Dumo, can not be any closer.
Clean, Breakfast only as room service, costs Euro 25 per room. We had a suite for 3 people , trendy and in short the location is everything in this nice new hidden gem in Milan.
Elisa and Isa at the reception both speak fluent English and helped us while there to arrange a quick one day trip to Venice by train which was fantastic, and also helped with directions to any place we wanted to go to. We attended the Jonas brother's concert when we were there and we found our way to it so easily with Elisa's help.

Recently opened “boutique” hotel of the larger group of Una Hotels and resorts was truly enlightening experience. The location of the hotel couldn’t be any closer to the city centre and with a daredevil U-turn at the Duomo square we were able to park our car in the front of the Hotel. The parking was smoothly advised in the nearby parking. Within a walking distance you can find all the major attractions, shopping streets, restaurants and nightlife. Hotel has been built in old townhouses and the bright white lobby with some cool design furniture sets the standard high. The beauty of the entrance was in balance with the welcoming young personnel with fluent English skills and a passion to please the guest. The room which we were given was far from the traditional hotel room and despite the trendy white glow it felt immediately warm and welcoming. We can truly recommend this new addition to Milan top hotels.
